My recollection of this tournament beyond JT going back to back, is birdies and plenty of them!

This may be the Justin Thomas Invitational, but I'm taking Jazz Janewattananond for the win.

No Ryan Moore this year?  Dude used to beat this tourney until Justin Thomas won it a few years ago.  Love watching it. Gorgeous course, very tropical and jungle-like.  The surrounding city is really cool looking.  The only downside is the constant "Malaysia...Truly Asia" commercials that run every 10 minutes.

With a name like that I had to have a go, sitting on Betfair trying to secure him at 750/1

Only 8 posts, obviously not the most popular event. I had to go half way down the page to find the thread.

Anyway I thought I'd mention the irony of Grayson Murray. The chap who tweeted about Euro's and Asians getting a free ride on the OWGR because they play in Asia and Europe (and every where else n the world). He has joined the bandwagon going  to Asia to play, unfortunately he is coming dead flat last.

Surprised 3 of the top European Tour players have opted to play here and not in the Rolex series event in Italy.

Good opportunity to see Gavin Green's game again.

fantastic comeback by paul casey shooting 77-63 to be at -4....unfortunately leader --pat perez--is at -13 so he might need another 63 tomorrow to be in the hunt..

xander schauffele continuing his good play is at -11 with 3 holes to play in the same flight with justin thomas who is so-so at -1..

lpga and pgatour tour events being telecast live in asia right now so i have to keep on flipping channels!

Yea 11pm eastern start time on golf channel makes it a lol tough. You can catch the replay the next day but most ppl would probably just check the leaderboard online.

Plugged ball. He then dropped it. I think this course is great minus the irons off the tees. Not much skill in that for the pros.

I wonder if JT's heart is really in it. I mean you have to go back if you've won it
back to back, of course, but coming off his season and the PC you gotta think
he's gassed and ready for some time off. I will be surprised if he plays this one
next year. That's a long plane ride from Jupiter.

I attended two days since I happened to be in the country. It was a well organized tournament and the course was excellent. Smaller crowd than any tournament in America which made for great watching.

Never seen a 72 hole scorecard like Danny Lee's this week.
27 birdies, 2 eagles very impressive but only finished 14 under, 17 dropped shots throughout the 4 rounds, Perez only had 3.

Listening to Patís SiriusXM radio show, he really wants to make the Ryder Cup team. He might have to play 30 tournaments to get there though.

There aren't Ryder Cup Points for this tournament? Only the upcoming WGC and then beginning in Hawaii?
