Shell Landing is a very nice course. It's located about an hour and 45 minutes east of New Orleans. Not sure what the last hurricane did to it, but I saw some terrible flooding in Biloxi. Here's a link to a photo tour of Shell Landing.

Shell Landing is good.....Diamondhead is meh.  Try the Grand Bear and Fallen Oak they are the 2 best courses I've played in the area.  Fallen Oak could be tough to get on though, usually you have to stay at Beau Rivage in Biloxi to get on.
We do a 16 man trip to Biloxi every year.  If you have any questions shoot them over and I will try to help.

Thanks for the info we called to check and they said the course was open doing ok. Pic look just like I was thinking it would be with a lot of enviro areas and tree lined fairways. Getting on a plane in about 2 hrs

We are staying at Beau Rivage Friday and Saturday. A couple of us are playing the Fallen Oaks on Sunday morning. We were going to play the Grand Bear but they canceled us because they have a tournament there(4 days) they booked after we made our tee times. Thanks for the info. On a plane in two hrs

Yep Shell Landing is a fun track. Lots of good variety. Courses should be in great shape this time of year as long as hurricane was kind.

Both Diamonhead courses have fast, Champion greens. Played there 2 weekends ago. Fallen Oak was phenomenal that same weekend. That being said, I'm not a fan of Diamonhead as I don't care for residential, out of bounds on both sides of the course. I've played Fallen Oak probably 100 times and never seen it in less than ideal conditions.

Shell Landing is one of my favorites in Biloxi as far as bang-for-buck goes. Friendly staff, fairly easy to get on, good variety of holes and tee options.

Just got back from the Biloxi and N.O. Thanks for the info guys. Played Bayou Oaks, Diamondhead. Shell Landing and Fallen Oaks. Every place was in good shape and played a little longer I guess due to humidity and sea level. We played the tips at B.O. and the next to back tees everywhere else. Shot 84.79.78 and 75 in that order. Very much fun was had in N.O. and Beau Ravaged that can't be printed here.

How did you like the new Bayou Oaks South Course? Of all the Nola places you can play, I probably like English Turn the best. Interesting layout, usually in very good shape. TPC they seem to let go of the conditioning until the Zurich comes around.
