just installed the new kb tour 90's into my set of r7 tp's this past weekend and has given them a couple of good range sessions...initially i thought this was gonna be like the tx90 but boy was i wrong! the overall balance felt just like the standard kb tours but the overall weight was lighter...unlike most light weight steel shafts you dont lose the club somewhere in the swing,i could feel exactly where the club was during the takeaway,at the top on the way down, at impact and at follow thru...most other light weight steel iron shafts that i've tried before i lose somewhere in the swing...the trajectory was very similar to the standard kb tours just a shade higher,it was also very easy to work the ball(left,right,high,low)...they do play just a touch softer than the standard kb's but could be easily remedied by hard stepping or soft stepping what ever your liking maybe...oh and the yardage,it seemed like i gained a few yards but not positive since the range balls i tried were kinda crappy...as soon as i get to try it on the course ill update to see if i gained or lost any yardage with a real ball...

If they are anything like the original KB tour, they are excellent. If you trap/compress the ball well they provide an awesome flight and go very far  very stable shafts with great feel.

A couple of things that stand out about these shafts are how stable they are.

They feel alot smoother than projext X and keep alot of spin off the ball.

Along with backspin they also seem to reduce some sidespin.

They are light and alot of people cannot get used to how light they are.

For me they are working very nicely.

I love mine I just put kb tour 90's in my 3-4-5 iron and had them sst pured. I played 3 rounds so far and gotta admit I used to kinda be off and on with my 3 iron as my missed shots were a fade now they are dead straight havent had 1 off line shot. My mis hits are a little shorter but still online.

Any update about the KB tour 90?
I have a set of stiff KB Tour on my Miura CB 202 and I think they are great, but maybe a bit heavy for me. Since I am looking to reshaft a set of Ping i5, the KB 90 could be perfect.
Also, why no info on KB website about the lighter version?

Original poster (ifixclubs), have you compared the distance you are getting with R7 TP on KBS Tour 90, compared to other lightweight shafts such as TX-90 or Nippon NS Pro?  Do you gain more distance, perhaps because of LOWER Flight?

Any input will be appreciated...  my current ball flights with DG Lite are still too high and I can use some extra distance..

Thanks...
