The fairway woods are going to blow people’s mind. Sound and performance are phenomenal. Wedges are awesome. The black finish is my favorite.

Md4's have positive grooves too. Highest spinning wedge available out of the rough.

New ball is urethane and has graphene. Ive used it and It's awesome!

This thread has definitely piqued my interest, especially the info on the new ball.

The Epic has been a great driver, but sound and feel could be better.

Will this be their new flagship driver or will that remain with the Epic?

My guess is a replacement for the Fusion.

Fusion replacement will be fall 2018 (came out Oct '16).  This is XR replacement.  Cally is on a 2 yr cycle.

It's been 2 years since the XR16 came out.
The difference with Callaway is they have 3 lines that are all on a 2 year cycle:

Xhot/XR (Jan 2016 & 2018)
V-Series/Fusion (Oct 2016/2018)
GBB/Epic (Jan 2017/2019)

Don't trust the cycles anymore.  If they were following cycles, then we'd be seeing new Apex and Apex Pro irons right now.   I think they are trying to stretch the cycles now.

Is this recap correct...

Epic staying with cosmetic refresh
Rogue comes in XR out
Apex hybrid out
MB, XForged in
Apex and Apex Pro refreshed

???

And MD4 Wedge release coming as well.  And Rogue might be a code name not retail but either way I don't care about club names.  The only thing they are good for is marketing purposes.

Since I trust your info infinitely more than other people's on here, is that list accurate? Specifically, the Epic being refreshed?

It looks accurate from what i know.  I've only gotten bits a pieces, haven't really tried to pry to much into the new stuff.  I do know the fairway woods are supposed to be the big thing in the next release.

I'm not convinced jailbreak can do anything in a fairway head. I bet they'd do it just ride the wave and the buzz.

Aslo, really hoping the headcovers don't suck.

Just different families the only line that is different for older gents/gals or people who want a lighter combo is the Fusion/V series/Epic Star.

Other than those it is really what head suits you.. next year the family will have something for everyone.

From my source the fairway is supposed to be the best thing to fairways since RBZ hit he market.
However, I have not hit the fairway at this point in time since I couldn't flip shafts and give it a fair test.
Got a second round in with the new ball and it is very solid. Haven't noticed ballspeed as much since I haven't hit it on a monitor, but greenside the spin seems to be better.

Not my cup of tea, but not terrible. It's basically an epic HC with the green replaced with steel blue.

They have to be in order for the jailbreak to work or they would have came out in the epics fw.

Can t believe they would replace the Epic... it's been out 9 months. This must be the XR replacement... also what about the new Steelhead fairways? Where do they fit? Will they go too?

i cant see them replacing the epic brand either.   that'd be like McDonald's getting rid of the BigMac

Callaway rep was in the shop today with all new stuff:

Irons were what got my attention, New blades, x forged, x forged ut [my favorite, more compact] all these can be seen in pros bags now.

The driver is the rogue, gloss top, dark blue instead of green accents.

Putters o works... the only thing that looked different was they put the jailbird back in the line up, both black and red.

Dig up some dirt
