Odyssey putters have a new O-Works face. Tour feedback was the old face was too quiet so they revamped the face to make it sound firmer. Think original white hot sound.

RX Line is done. Odyssey is sticking with the O-Works line up in black + red or WBW BWB. Every red option will be available with 2 hosel types. Here's a WILD ONE, there was NO #9 in the catalog!!!

Callaway got annoyed that TM was getting attention for a red putter when on any given week 50-70% of the tour is Odyssey. When it rains, it's red!

Cheers

Man, I had forgotten about that. I still love the last gen Nike balls. Bought up a bunch on discount and still gaming them.

Bit confused as the guy who posted the other thread was confident that it was called ''Omega" and had photos. Maybe that was a prototype?

Rogue seems like a very weird choice of name given the shafts of the same name.

Either way, the name isn't too important. It could be called "Hobgoblin" and I'd probably still buy one.

That was me, I have been told it was the Omega by the guys I know in the tour department.  There is always a possibility that the marketing department changed the name before it gets to retail.  The pictures I took of the prototype fairway woods were from a couple months ago and only had XR etched into the bottom.  I know I saw the final version of the Epic this time last year, but I haven't seen the final version of this new one yet.

I'll try and see what else I can find out!

**I will share the pictures I have of the fairway as soon as they are released so you know I am not pulling what I know out of thin air lol

Will this be their new flagship driver or will that remain with the Epic?

Epic will remain the flagship, this will be the XR replacement.  However from what I know, ball speeds are supposed to be up 1-2mph over the Epic, so don't be surprised to see tour players switch, but will have less adjustability (no fade/draw on driver and bonded hosel fairways).

These sound really nice and what you would expect as a step down version of the Epic. If the fairways and hybrids sit square they could be awesome. I prefer a bonded hosel on fw and hyb.

They're not really a step down, just a bit different tech in the jailbreak and no moveable weight on the driver. The fairways sit square to slightly open, but this is all dependent on whether you're left or right eye dominant, which I think we forget on here sometimes.

The driver has a 17% larger footprint?

No thanks.

I will be happy to stick with my Epic stuff unless there is a 440 version of the driver.

Hybrid and Fairways both have jailbreak this time. There is some word of a new "curved jailbreak" in the driver, but unconfirmed. These are replacing Epic and Epic pricepoint will be repositioned lower but will continue forward.

There is a new chrome soft and chrome soft x featuring a new material in a layer outside the core. Supposedly 3 mph faster ball speed then previous generation with a softer urethane cover than the previous models so more spin greenside with faster ball speed and lower driver spin.

I hit the sub zero and the balls and thought both were very good. I'll be replacing my epic when these are available after the PGA Show. I may keep an old headcover though because I don't love the color scheme (very similar to the current toulon covers).

The new driving iron is also really good and has CF.

Can't wait to hear how they added the jailbreak tech to fairways and kept them legal. Fairways were already maxed out. I could see slightly higher ball speeds on off center hits. That's about it.

Anything is better than Epic Star. Name it Yeshua and you got my vote! If Ping can name theirs "Eye" and "G", why not? They should add a Matt black crown option and if the hybrid looks anything like Mizunos CLK and performs like last year's epic, I'll buy it. Don't get carried away and rip us off with the price either, Cally. That wasn't so epic.

They are deeper/taller faces and no adaptor, so Im assuming room for it to work.

However, most people could of predict the jaileak would get thrown into the woods/hybrid... with how successful it was, how could it not.

I would think the ďD TypeĒ draw bias version would replace it I guess.

Good call :)

I've seen these clubs in person, Rogue is the real name and there are rogue irons too. Epic is being phased out in 2018. Expect a price drop in 6 months. That's according to the rep. Also, the new md4's have a bit of a differently look to them. A bit gaudy for lack of a better word. A black head with silver dots and red circles around those dots.

Is this recap correct...

Epic staying with cosmetic refresh
Rogue comes in XR out
Apex hybrid out
MB, XForged in
Apex and Apex Pro refreshed

???

And MD4 Wedge release coming as well.  And Rogue might be a code name not retail but either way I don't care about club names.  The only thing they are good for is marketing purposes.
Or bad.

Will this be their new flagship driver or will that remain with the Epic?

My guess is a replacement for the Fusion.
