So I played the Titleist NXT Tour balls for the first time ever last week.  I must say I was overall impressed with the quality of this ball.  Not trying to pinch pennies or anything, but at $10 cheaper for a dozen versus the Pro V1's, thank you very much!

I like them too, only the "S" version though.

They’re going away. At least their current iterations. Being consolidated into 1 ball. Prices should drop soon.

Prices dropping now in UK. Never understood this ball. AD333 or Wilson equivalents equally good at £8 a box less...

I played the NXT for a number of years and it is a good ball.  I then discovered balls like the Gamer V2 and Bridgestone e6 that were as good or better than the NXT for my swing and cost substantially less.

Where will the AVX slot in the lineup?

NXT is a second tier ball at a premium price. In Australia you can buy chrome soft/x for about $5 less a dozen. No brainer.

Not a bad ball but does nothing to warrant paying $30+ per dz.  Top Flight Gamer you get 3 dz for $40.
TM M1 - Rouge 60 Stiff
Callaway XR - 4 wood - Rouge w/ RIP tip 60
Callaway BB V-Series 5 wood - Rouge Silver Stiff
Mizuno JPX850 Forger 4-GW - XP115 S300
Titleist 55 F grind / 60 M grind

What did you play prior to the gamer & what do you like about the standard gamer?

Also you seem to say a lot of nice things about it but it's not listed as one of the few balls you do play

Top Flite Gamer is great! Plays like a more expensive ball. It reminds me of a Bridgestone B330.
Another one that I've played a few times is the Titleist  DT SoLo.

What took you so long?  ;)

BTW, this is my usual ball, unless conditions get really firm - then I go to a Pro V1x.  I prefer the NXT Tour to the Gamer, the Gamer Soft (by a little bit) and the B330 RX.  It feels like it is just a bit longer off the tee.

I like the nxt tour (not S) a lot. Probably better for me than a pro v. But the Tour S is just an over priced 2 piece ball, so I won't buy those.

As others stated, I don't know how this ball continues to exist. Right now Titleist has their ProV1's on sale for $39.99 while the NXT's are still $35.00.  I just yesterday purchased new 2016 model Taylor Made TPx balls from the TaylorMade web site for $22.00.  The NXT seems to be getting squeezed from both ends.

Other than the fact it says Titleist on the side, I don't know why anyone plays this ball.  I have found a few and played them for a number of rounds and while there is nothing really wrong with them, I would no way pay $30-35 a dozen for them.  I just picked up 3 dozen Gamer Softs for $30 and both it and the regular Gamer are much better balls than the NXT(S) ball.
