Oh man put cameron champ, brandon hagy and jamie sadlowski in the same group. Would like to see that 3 ball. Jamie sadlowski tournament driver swing must be closer to 130 than 140 mph right? Right about cameron champs.

It will be fun to watch when they miss the cut but hey they can bomb it!!!! ;)

glad toi see john daly make the cut and jamie shoot -1 the last day...

i predict good things for cameron champ inspite of his 73-73 ..

bombers like them are good to see specially when they got game too..

What a game, Cameron put on a show..... His putter was cold these  past two days.
He outdrove Jamie sadlowski, and John Daly by a "mile".
Opening hole par 4, he carried 342 yds....
The PGA tour is paying close attention.....to this young man.

I agree, his putting suffered a lot to ruin his rounds. Trust me, when he fixes it and he WILL. He will have an impact on the PGA......

I was watching extended highlights of finger-snappin' Chesson's 61, and it seems the only times he breaks out the ol' trademark is after a bit of prodding from the fans.

As I type, Schiederjans, Cauley and McNealy have worked their ways into the top 10 of this leaderboard.  They may be too far from the leader, but getting their seasons off to a fine start.

i've cancelled the PGA tour TV channel for a couple of months now to save some money, costs a fortune.
So tell me - how is the meanie situation? Any improvements? I still do have the European tour channel, no improvements there, terrible days from Scotland, guys like Grace. Gruesome.

Question for you, stanky Hanky ... what is this "meanie situation" you're referring to?  Do tell.

I thought I'd check in on the Safeway Open during an inning break of the Cubbies-Nats play-off game, and I see the great Phil Mickelson had pulled to within three strokes of the lead, facing a four foot par saving putt on the 17th.  He missed.

Nice to see Phil playing well this week, and joined on this leaderboard by some likable guys such as Bud Cauley, Billy Haas and Emiliano Grillo.  But Phil gives away too many opportunities to get really excited about his prospects for a "W."

It's a young guys time these days, and I'd love to see Bud Cauley finally break through at the age of 27.

At this point its nerves off the tee. he'll figure it out though. hes too good not to. He didnt mail it in today and had some serious mojo going. I feel like i said earlier in the thread he has alow one brewing and i thought today at the turn he was poised to shoot 62-63. He'll get himself in these positions more often and it will click. He has the will.

This is the way finger-snapping Chesson Hadley is thinking as he prepares for today's final round at Silverado -

“I’m done laying up,” said Hadley, who on Friday set the Silverado course record by shooting 61. “I’m going to be aggressive. If I make bogeys, that’s just the way it is, but I’ll make a few birdies along with it. Pure aggression. Anger.”

Anger?

“Well, not anger,” he laughed. “Just aggression.”

Phil, the top of the leaderboard is the other way.

This course is playing like Oakmont on US Open Sunday compared to earlier in the day quiet time at St. Andrew's.

swing is irrelevant, score is everything

just say NO.... to practice swings

Finau was a co-leader at 14 and made a double and now Steele nearly follows suit, but saves bogey. Phil now only two back after a missed birdie putt at 15.

Leaders trying to do Phil a favor.

This has been some enjoyable golf because of the low humidity and gusty breezes.  Guys really have to think their way around the course today, and hit quality shots.

My cousin was among thousands who have lost their homes.  Sonoma and Napa counties literally went up in flames in a few hours overnight.  The winery he worked at is gone, too.

The course may actually act as a firebreak of sorts.  Terrible thing all the way around.
