A few guys talked about being a half size smaller in the Adidas vs Nike, etc.

Hello Wrx'ers,

I first want to thank golfwrx and Adidas golf for allowing me to participate in this trial.  I have never won anything so I was super excited when I got the email that I was selected.  This is the perfect trial for me because over the last few years I have struggled to find a shoe that fits my feet.  In this time, I have purchased and worn shoes from Adidas, Ecco, Footjoy and Nike and have not really liked any shoe that much.  I must have a weird foot because none of these shoes were really  that comfortable or if they were, they lacked some other aspect of a shoe that I was looking for. I had actually given up on trying to find a show that was perfect. Over the last few months, I had been wearing the footboy freestyle shoe and really liked the comfort factor but had an issue with stability.  I always felt like the outside of my left shoe was not stable at and after impact.  Stability was the same issue I had with Nike and the Eccos lacked the traction that I needed.  I had actually worn a pair of Adidas shoes a few years ago, but he heal gave me issues so I moved on to another pair.  Now on to the review.  As others have said, the packaging is awesome with the green turf being a great touch.  When you open the box you feel as if you are opting a real high end pair of shoes.  Immediately after opening the box, I wanted to put these shoes thru a test that would allow me to really compare them to all of the other shoes that I had tried so I walked 18 holes for my initial test.  These shoes felt great the entire 18 holes and the leather heal is a huge improvement over previous Adidas shoes.  It grips your foot well, while still being comfortable for 18 holes.  When I first picked up these shoes I was worried that the weight of the shoe would be something that bothered me as the footboy freestyle shoes are extremely light.  I did not notice the weight one time over 18 holes.  Before my round, I hit balls in the new Adidas off of grass and off of a mat to see how they perform.  Some might ask why I care about the mat, but in the winter mats are about all we can hit off of so I thought it was important.  These shoes performed great off both surfaces as the grip and stability of the spikes feels more like the old metal spikes than the typical new soft spike shoe.  To further test the stability of these shoe, I hit multiple balls out of the pine straw as this is a tough task for any new shoe.  I did not slip one shot and felt like I could feel the shoe gripping the ground. As for appearance, I  usually, I do not care one bit about how a shoe looks as I only care about comfort and performance, but I will say that these shoes look sweet.  During my round, I had multiple people comment on how great looking my new shoes were.  I hope to play again later and the week and will update the thread as I get more rounds under my belt.  Thanks again and let me know if anyone has any questions.

I was a perfect 12.5 in adidas.  It looks like they no longer offer 12.5 in the new stuff or at least these.  You guys think I should go 12 or 13?

Go 13, a little space up front wont make much difference, but if they too tight they may cause problems like ingrown toe nails.

My Adidas Pure360 were 11M.  Got the same size in these Tour360s - and I concur that these seem to run a bit big.

Also - had a lot of family stuff today and did not play.  But did a long practice session and I feel like these broke in nicely and are now very comfortable.. The pressure in the mid-sole is gone.  Really loving the traction and stability of these shoes.

Adidas is notorious for running half a size small on most of their shoes. There have been maybe 1-2 shoes I can think of that I was actually my normal shoe size in, but I've tried on a ton of different Adidas shoes. It also comes down to preference. I like a slightly more snug feel. Some guys like more room to operate. I would try on if you can as everyone's foot is a little different.

I wear an 11 in about every shoe possible except for the footjoy freestyle ( wear a 10.5) and the 11 in this shoe fit great. I did not think that they run small or large just normal. If I was between sizes and had to pick one size or the other I would err on the larger size as the heal in this shoe is great and really grips your foot.

Thanks for all the post and pics guys. Looks to me Adidas took one of the better features from the original Tour 360 ltd and adiPURE  shoes which was they both had 100% leather heel not that fabric that breaks down so easy. Wish they would have done the same with the tongue but they only went half way? My opinion is Adidas should have used full 100% leather both sides of tongue like adiPURE and Tour 360 LTD. The main issue with the older Adidas all leather shoes mentioned above was the weight.  It looks like Adidas and every other golf shoe company started addressing these weight issues and thickness of sole and heel when Truelinkswear introduced their first shoe, or at least that's when I first noticed it. It's nice that Adidas has put a lot of effort in making shoes lighter while still using real leather in many areas of the shoe. Although personally I wish they'd just bring back the adiPURE golf shoe as their Top shelf shoe and then offer this shoe as next in their line. I'll still go to Dicks and at least try on this new shoe to see if I like it, but the first pair of boost's just didn't work for me. I mean I wanted them to fit so bad. I'm such an Adidas fan that somewhere back in early 90's when I first seen Berhard Langer wearing Adidas golf shoes I headed to golf pro shop to see how I could purchase them. The Pro at a local golf course looked into for me and I had them special ordered from Europe...... and here's one Left shoe that i recently found. I know I have the right somewhere and I also had them in the two color ways White and Black. The very first Adidas golf shoe I ever found  to be able to purchase the Berhard Langer shoe, maybe even Adidas will appreciate this:

These were bought at Summerton Springs Golf and Ski shop, which hasn't exist in over 25-30 years. Anyone from bucks county Philadelphia suburbs knew this spot. There weren't many golf ranges and pro shops where you could buy golf clubs and get fitted for skiing.

Shoes arrived yesterday. First thing I noticed was the packaging. The packaging was awesome!! The turf was a really cool touch! I also liked the plastic insert, where it highlighted some of the features of the shoe.

The look of the shoe is awesome! I'm a big fan of the Carolina blue. I like how clean they look, along with being simple, yet trendy.

I am used to playing the hyperflex from footjoy, so the weight was a bit of an adjustment for me. They were a little heavier than I am used to with my golf shoe. However, I felt like they provided the proper amount of support.

I also wear custom orthotics, so comfort is a huge issue for me. I only played 9 holes and a range session, but I did not leave the course in any pain or discomfort.

Like most new shoes, there was a bit of stiffness. I'm hoping, however, that after a bit of wear, they will break in a bit for me.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the shoe. The look is everything I'd hope for when seeking out a golf shoe. Really solid!! Comfort and stability are nice and they run true to size. If I were to initially offer a critique, I would comment about the weight being a bit of an adjustment. Like I stated above, it will probably take some getting used to. I'll continue to wear them and update as I have a little more use under my belt.
Thanks Adidas and Golfwrx

What?!  How dare you wear FJ sox with them.  Come on get some Adidas Sox at least. HAHAHHA!

I was able to wear the shoes for 9 holes on Friday and 27 holes on Saturday and Sunday. They are very comfortable. I have been impressed with the support and cushion of the tour 360. Most shoes either get the padding right or the support right, these seem to do both

Ok all, sorry i was late posting that i got the sweetest shoes ever. I have been sick for the last 4 days, shoes showed up during that and my wife said when you feel better. When I opened them i was like WOOOHOOOO, kid in a candy store. Even better i was lucky to get the Baby Blue ones, i was loking to get that color. So I am planning on playing Friday, saturday and sunday this week and will be wearing the shoes during those rounds. I am also going to try them out at the Range this week to get some use out of them. I will post pictures soon as i am at home for this since my work blocks camera uploads.

I want to say thank you to Adidas and GolfWRX for this opportunity. I am excited to share my thoughts on these shoes.

Upon opening the box you can just see the technology in this shoes. They are not your fathers shoes, they are comfortable to put on and so easy to walk in, at least in the house. I will be updating later today, don't forget to check back.

I'm getting worked with the black footjoy socks with the white shoes!!!  My bad, fashionistas!

However, I can't get down with white socks (even if they are ankle socks) when I play golf

Was gone all weekend out of town, but showed up to these beauties waiting for me at home. Unfortunately, nature had a different idea on letting me go test them out.

Posted Image

Initial reactions: Very sleek. Very modern looking. Love the simplicity of the 3 stripes. The wording/branding is very very minimal with the "Adidas" on the tongue, and the almost invisible "Tour360" on the center stripe. I threw these on to walk my dog, and they feel like a very comfortable running shoe. There's good support, extreme comfort all around. I could wear these all day if they didn't have spikes on the bottom. They do seem to run a TAD large. I wear a size 8 in Nikes, and got a 7.5 in these. And while they aren't too big, there is definitely room. Moreso in the width than the length, which is very helpful. My previous Nikes bulge out when I tie them shut.

Supposed to be 70's and Sunny on Thursday, so I'm hoping to get out and walk 9 holes after work. (Yes, 28 degrees and snow Monday, 72 and Sunny by Thursday. Ahh, Colorado weather.)

I am very much looking forward to receiving the 360s. Thank you Golfwrx and Adidas for the opportunity. Review coming soon.

So waiting on my arrival on Monday was a very large brown shipping box. Although I was expecting The Package, it looked too big for a pair of shoes. As I open, I notice a larger than normal, very well designed all white box wrapped within a three stripe banner sleeve as shown in other posters photos. Once the banner is removed, an all white box remains unlike all other shoe box Id ever seen. This box looks and opens like a drawer and Ill likely find another use for it.

I slide the box open and see a cover that depicts the outline of the Tour 360s highlighting some of the technology. Once the cover is removed, the box is divided to maintain separation between the left and right shoe. Low and behold is a pair of size 11 Adidas white/black 360s. The color is absolutely a perfect combo for matching with pretty much anything and everything that Id normally wear. As I pull those shiny new Tour360s from the box, I see the box is actually lined with AstroTurf. Wow! AstroTurf. Although Id say that is a very nice touch, Id point out that the AstroTurf will not provide any benefit other than presentation and a cloth shoe bag would have been nice as well.

First impressions: Top quality tour level all leather shoe with clean looks. White laces with black caps are a nice touch. Subtle graphics but no mistaking they are Adidas due to the three stripe design. Replaceable spikes along with permanent soft spikes in a configuration that looks top notch. Given my rear foot has a tendency to slip from time to time, these look stout at the point of ground contact.

Fit: After struggling with both plantar fasciitis and mortons neuroma, and previous experience with Adidas brand shoes, I ordered a half size larger (size 11). Although the plantar fasciitis is pretty much gone nowadays, the mortons neuroma in my left foot can nearly knock me off the course when it flares up. The 11s seem as if there will be plenty of width in the toe that would help elevate the neuroma.

Comfort: Basement wear only to this point but I expect them to be ready to go the first trip out on the range and course.

As much as I had hoped to get to the range today or even just walking about the course behind my house, a late evening at work and pouring down rain will push that out a day or two with on course experience to occur this weekend.

Stay tuned!

I loved last years Tour 360s but I think these are even better.  I like the new toe and heel of the shoes.
