Last week he was seen using an MD4 Wedge in the British Masters... so it was an assumption by some but someone else stated it was all but a "done deal".

What handicap range would these (x forged) be for?

All handicaps, I see you have a 18, so you just need to Demo different lofts/bounce, and grind options and see which one fits your swing.

My bad, I clearly didn't read your post very well. Hopefully we will know more about the X-Forged irons in the coming weeks(Today would be nice :D ).

I wonder how the finish will hold up on those irons.  Will be interesting to see what finishes they come up with for those wedges.  I would imagine its time for something different.  Perhaps an oil can version?  That would be sweet.

It started with the Toulon Putter. Then the wedge. I don't claim to have any info, or really even care. Just saw an opportunity to make a funny. And I even like Sergio.

I thought the MD3 looked too rounded all around. The MD Forged looks glorious in the pitching and gap wedge, but I feel like the pointed toe looked goofy in the sand and lob. these look like a great combo of them all.

If you need less offset than that you'll probably be leaning more towards the Apex MB's. For my tastes, these look damn near perfect in every sense. Only thing that I would change is more of a matte/brushed finish on the entire club ala Apex CF16 but that is just nitpicking.

I can see a set of these with C-taper Lites in the near future in my bag.

Have seen/hit the x forged as part of a apex mb p-6/xforged 5-3 combo set and honestly they blend really well. The 5i xforged looks fine next to the apex mb 6i and the combo set flows nicely, they don't look out of place next to the blades. They are definitely not big, apex pro size at worst. Would put them between titleist cb's and ap2's for size reference, closer to cb's though if anything.

I got to hit the MD4, X Forged, X Forged UT and Apex MB yesterday.

MD4 felt great and the milling on the face will generate more spin that the MD3 models.

Feel was good, a little softer than MD3, shape was arguably better and I like the addition of the X grind.

MD4 X Grind is a high bounce version of the C Grind.

The X Forged irons  didn't appear to have a lot of offset, blade length was a little longer than the Apex MB but it looked like it would blend nicely in a mixed/combo set.

The X Forged UT is going to be a standout, it feels great looks very "iron like" and will blend nicely with the X Forged irons.

Apex MB was available in two finishes bright chrome and oil can/raw, it looks beautiful in the flesh and feels just as good. The retail grooves are the same as the current Apex Pro irons by visual inspection. (They are not the same as the X Forged 13 irons but the Pro Tour dept. at Callaway has access to these)

All of these heads are taper tip, this means that if you want a combo set you can get the whole set with the same shaft.

I can't wait for my set with the raw finish! :)

Really hope the MB's come in raw/oil can and the MD4 wedges must come in SOME other finish besides chrome.  A vintage/black ox would be preferred.

X Grind.  Interesting.  Hoping for a raw or dark finish option, not loving the chrome.

Also, some of the wedges look like there is a weight port or something added into the port holes.  Other wedges look empty.  Here are 2 different variations:

Good pickup. I wonder what the differences are in terms of weight? Might help lower the traj on the higher lofted irons.

The MD3s had the same weight system. Tungsten in the lower lifted wedges, steel powder in the middle and just painful in the high lofted wedges.

Not liking the red, maybe if it was on a black finish.

Not feeling the red here either. I know I am one of the few but I actually really liked the acid green in the MD3's.

I think the red will look great with a black finish just like the green, I wish they would go with a more neutral look with some of their clubs, I love straight black, would love a black out version

Maybe I read it wrong but, the pics don't match how you described it. By your explanation the 56 would have more weight than the 58 and it looks just the opposite in the pic?

If you need more offset than that you'll probably be leaning more towards the Apex MB's. For my tastes, these look damn near perfect in every sense. Only thing that I would change is more of a matte/brushed finish on the entire club ala Apex CF16 but that is just nitpicking.

I can see a set of these with C-taper Lites in the near future in my bag.

More offset??! You mean less.

Yes, excuse me. Sorry.
