===============================================================================

I live in Leesburg, VA and have played it a few times this summer. Last time I played was mid July. It was in as good as shape as I have seen it over the years. The turf and grass were mostly grown in and did not have many bare spots. Point of reference, it was in terrible shape last summer due to the lack of rain and high temps we had. Keep in mind that it's a municipal course so it's going to be rough in some places, like the bunkers.

As far as the course layout, it's got decent length, is pretty flat and straight forward.

Fun day out at Norbeckistan with PQ and City. The greens were FAST, insanely fast. Putts were rolling out 5-8 feet past the hole. Wind was also kicking up pretty strong at times. Course is playing very firm and fast tee to green. City wasn't mentally in it from the first tee shot. The Titleist wasn't behaving and he lost confidence early. Good news was the head stayed on the whole round (driver's head, not the drivee). PQ had a rough start on the first 2 holes but put together a really solid round on the last 16. After being stuck behind a foursome for 2.5 hours on the front 9 we played the back in 1:10. I think PQ yelling at them to hurry up on 9 chased them off. Speed playing on the back. I shot 3 over on the front and 1 over on the back. I played really well outside of a lost ball on 11 (couldn't find my lay up in the left rough that led to a double) and sullying myself on a 2 footer for par on 7. Made about 10 putts in the 7-12 foot range. When greens are that fast you just need to start them on line and they find their way to the bottom of the cup. Next up Waverly on Sunday with PQ, Sully, and non Hive MeatMike.

I'm surprised PQ hasn't gotten a club reprimand yet.  Last time I was there, he was yelling at a bunch of tiny old women who were playing 4 hour pace.

Hey guys, just found this thread. So do you guys play together around the DC area? Any of you heard of this guy named Kent? He's kind of awesome (got me on Congressional and Augusta), but kind of not (nailed my wife). Anywho... let me know if you're ever up for a round at Rock Creek Park.

100% sure I called them a word that rhymes with bunts. Which they were. Don't F with my pace of play.

I'm on jury duty. I shot about 90 yesterday. Not concerned.

I was actually thinking back on the round and really wondered how it got that high. Although, if I kept hitting balls off the tee on 10, it might have been 100.

If you played with Siegel and MeatMike2 at the Stroke Play event, what would be the best way to passive aggressively get them to attest your score on the Grint without actually asking?

Maybe I’m only speaking for myself but I could care less the round recap... give us a play by play jury update ...
