TM's new website featuring their top thoroughbreds is pretty amazing.   Most of the top players on Tour are playing TM drivers this year.  Take a good look at that website.  I think I know why Sergio decided to leave Taylormade or Taylormade nudged him out?  :D

Going to be ramping up the practice over the next few weeks to get the game back in shape for 2018.  Once I get comfortable again I'm going to be testing the M3 440 and 460 pretty thoroughly.  I haven't gamed a TM driver since either 08 or 09 when I had the R9 TP.  I got some pretty impressive numbers from the M1 a few years back but was really loving my current gamer so elected not to change, this year might be different though if I can find a setup that's longer but as consistent and straight as my current gamer.

Nope. The m1 was flatter than the m2. The m3 is a bit more upright than the m1.

The M3 is the same lie angle as the m1.  The only thing that changed is how they measure the lie angle.  The VP of product development, Brian,  explained that to us when he showed us the new line.

Enthusiasts,

Heard that the tour issue m3 and m4 have more traditional faces and arent as twisted.

Any truth to this?

Check the conforming equipment list for multiple version of these heads. I doubt they’d dumb down the face tech for the Tour Issue gear since it’s their big news for the year. I’m sureTM has high hopes the twist face makes the players using it statistically straighter without losing any distance.

There can't be any truth to this at the moment because the USGA list of conforming drivers only has a single entry per head (including LH variants of the M4 and M4 D-Type).

If there was a special tour issue head that had less twist, it would be a different construction and would be required to be on the list.

I think people forget majority of golfers just try and hit the golf ball straight which is the intended purpose of the twist face. Whether it works or not I cant say I have not hit them yet.

Rick shiels full m3 review.

This is pretty much exactly as I feared... The twist face makes it harder to get your desired shot shape on course.

IF you use the bulge and roll to assist you.

Well said, or said another way..if you intentionally try to hit the ball off center, and off the heel or toe.

Get the Spec sticker - if you dont know and get to pick the specs then TI is not worth it. Its the same as retail at that point.

This is so true. If you aren't looking for a specific setup and know exactly what specs you need, skip the Tour Issue heads.
