There have been threads like this in the past, but I was wanting an updated late 2017 version. I am 22 and am starting replace my original hammy-down clubs. I am looking to spend less than $50 on a good used 3 wood that will last me a couple years. I have seen great things on here about the Adams Speedline Super LS, Adams Speedline Super S, Adams Speedline F11, and VSteel.  Also, I recently saw a Taylormade AeroBurner 15* for $42 including shipping. My driver is a recently purchased used Callaway FT Tour. Thoughts on what my best option for a 3 wood under $50 and will last me a couple years? Thanks!

Some of the models you mentioned are a lot older than "now" or "late 2017".  Try not to fall under the assumption that a design from years past is "outdated technology".  There's lots of good affordable options from previous years.

Did you know that the Taylormade V-Steel was released in 2003-04.  As I think you've read, there's plenty of guys playing them and getting great results

Thanks C-Webb, great points. I was trying to say that I am looking for an older 3 wood model. There are some threads that asked this question in 2013 or 2015, but now in 2017 what are some quality older models that can be found on Ebay for below $50?

Good luck. There are guys on this forum that have owned every 3 wood made since you were born and they're still searching for the right one. Not saying that any of your options wouldn't be one that you love but, 3 woods can be a very tough club to find the right one. My suggestion is to ignore all the advice and go to every golf shop within 2 hours of your house and hit every option in your budget. That's the best way to find the right one for you.

Thanks Everyone. I saw on RBG that they have Adam's 3 woods brand new for $30 on there clearance. What's best choice between the Adam's Blue, Adam's Speedline Super S, and Adam's Tight lies? I'm a lefty that tends to shoot a slight fade.

While some players want their FWs to go as long as possible, I want my FWs to be accurate and go at a predicable distance.  My VSteels does what I want it to do but with great feel and easy to hit off the deck and can be easily had for under $50.  Heck, I bought mine off of Craigslist for $20 CDN EACH.

I picked up a Cleveland Launcher 3W in 15* for around $22 shipped off eBay last year.  I absolutely bomb that deep-faced wonder club from the tee, fairway, and light rough.  It is stupid long and easy to hit with the deep face.

I agree with everything he said.  I'd like to add, if you find one you like, never sell it.
Also, if testing, test it more than just once.  Hard to judge on one session.  If possible, test it on the grass, not only on the matt.

I agree on the Super S over the LS. It is much more forgiving. The tight Lies 2 is really good also.
