Hi,
Is the Q Star Tour (AD333 Tour in the UK) suitable to someone who swings around 98-100mph with the Driver and 82-84mph with a 6 iron?  Is there likely to be loss of distance due to over compression?

Would someone with these swing speeds be better to suited to the B330-RXS, or the FG Tour, or the Callaway HEX PRO (Costco exclusive)?

I'm looking for a ball with a urethane cover, that is not overly spinny, and will be suitable with the swing speeds mentioned.
Thanks.

Ok, I'll bite.  98-100 mph is not a high swing speed.  Sure, it's higher than the average golfer (I think something like 95 mph), but Srixon wasn't designing the QST with the mindset that 98-100 mph would over compress this ball.  Pretty sure you're fine.

I have a question. Im a high swing speed player (120 driver) would this ball be a good choice for winter golf? Ill be playing in temps down to just above freezing.

Or what would be the upper Driver mph limit for the Q Star Tour (AD333 Tour) before you start to over compress it and thus lose distance with the Driver (and irons)?

I have a similar swing speed as the OP and love the QST. I've been playing it for the last few months and love it. I definitely prefer it to the 330RX.

Have you played the RXS and how does it compare to the QST?

Never - only played the regular RX. I was thinking about giving the RXS a try given that the one downside I felt like I noticed with the RX was a lack of greenside spin, but the I found the QST and think I'm going to stick with it for a while. I like the ball a lot, and the price is hard to beat.

The USGA ball distance test, which all ball manufacturers focus on maxing out on, uses a club head speed of something like 109 mph.  You can rest easy that this ball will be as long as any other at this speed.

The AD333 Tour is pretty comparable to the Z-Star for me and I have very similar swing speeds. It is a great all-round ball and probably the best value for money ball on the market. I don’t see any loss of distance and actually picked up a long drive prize a couple of weeks ago on the links of North Wales ;-)

What are you guys paying for this ball? I bought a dozen for $15 from a rep who set up a table at the driving range last Friday, but haven't tried them yet, so any new ball will come from the store. I saw a commericial on tv Saturday with a $29.99 price tag.

Srixon has one of the best deals in balls right now for major manufacturers.  The normal retail price is $29.95 (which is still a great deal for a 3-piece urethane ball), but the better deal would be to take advantage of their "buy 3 get 1 free" personalized ball.  You would essentially get four dozen QST for roughly $90.  With free shipping on orders over $50, you're looking at getting four dozen at $22.50 per dozen.  GREAT DEAL!

Currently in the UK you can get them for £20 per dozen, with a few quid delivery on top of that.

I am a Zstar player, and I am beginning to lose swing speed due to my age (ing back).   I have been really considering this ball but Dicks does not carry it in the store here.  its an online only ball for them in this area.

I am down to my last dozen or so ZStars,,,, will have to see what I can find..

Where in the UK can you get AD333 Tour for 20 a box? I only see the AD333 for that price.

An excellent all round ball. Stops on a dime. I am a fairly high spin player so not ideal for driving but great if the course is firm and grip is the priority. And yes and excellent Winter ball for all levels.

I thought the Qstar Tour was fantastic when I tried it.  Add in the fact that it is $30/doz and you have a real winner.

I worked my way through one of their 6 ball demo packs over 3 rounds and found that it was a few yards shorter off each club.  It's still a great ball and should be on anyone's radar that is looking for a lower compression ball with a urethane cover.

Mixed feelings after 1 round.  Wasn't playing my best, so not the ball's fault.  Going to reserve judgement for now.

Had a chance to compare the TP5 with the AD333 Tour and to be honest there was no discernible difference for me in distance, feel or spin.
