Im was a huge FJ classics fan and when they discontinued the shoe i tried to get my hands on as many pairs as i could.  These are what i still have brand new in the box which i regularly maintain with leather conditioner. All in all 10 pairs of FJ Classics mostly the Classics Dry Premire with a few Classics Tour. The problem i noticed is that the small metal thread soft spikes are getting brittle and are crumbling to the touch. They all need to be replaced . Can i still get these spikes today? If not what are
my options to be able to replace the spikes. Thanks in advance!

I own 25 pair of Classics and the only cleat I will use is Black Widow Tour,
You can find these on eBay for $15 for 22 cleats.

Very nice collection!
I switched my 3 pair of Classics Dry Premier to the Softspikes black widows - I much prefer them to those early edition Softspike Pulsars or whatever those are called.  You can get the black widows with the metal thread that will fit.  I don't know off the top of my head which they are (fast twist, etc), but the softspike website probably will show you which model to get!

Yoga, they're not the fast twist. That's what is being used now with the wider green base.
Op, I guess because I'm not a collector I don't get it but why? Why not wear them? They're great shoes but even with care will continue to deteriorate sitting in a closet. They're great shoes, wear 'em!!

They are just standard metal threaded soft spikes.  I'm pretty sure you can find them anywhere.   Just google metal thread soft spikes.

You will find 2 sizes of metal thread soft spikes.

Classics take the small metal thread

Also a great place to freshen up or repair. They used to do the Footjoy warranty work

I was VERY fortunate to find a large box of small metal thread black widow spikes at a play it again sports for $50.  Probably 500 or so cleats in the box, which has helped considering I have a bunch of classics that I enjoy using.

I checked last night and I have 30 brand new, Black Widow metal (small) thread spikes still in the box.  I think I saved them from when I had a couple pairs of Classics.

The spikes are yours if you want them, MadCow.
