I tend too in to out, very shallow into ball. Most of my fairway wood misses are low on face. What fairway wood is constructed to be more forgiving on this type of miss? Currently hit a Cobra f6.

Start by testing the shallowest (shortest) face design you can find...

Correct that swing flaw and go at it with your favorite fairway wood! You already know the problem, go fix it.

There is no miracle fairway wood that rewards a thin miss.

If you don't want to fix your swing, do as the previous reply says and find a shallow faced club. Good luck.

Any fairway wood with a speed pocket or something similar, which there are plenty of them.  Most OEMs have their version of it.

The AB TP 3HL is very friendly off of the deck but I second the poster whom stated look into any model with a speed pocket (M2,AB TP, 917/918, Callaway Epic, etc.)

I play the LTD and it is a low launch, low spin beast that doesn't get airborne if you hit low on the face.

This. Even though it is a deep face it seems to be the most forgiving fairway out there.

I don't doubt what you're saying, but the design of the LTD and Adams suggest otherwise. They have by far the two lowest centers of gravity of any woods tested. And the COG is far enough back that both are promoting a high launch, and any time you hit above the COG, it will reduce spin. 3mm may not sound like a lot, but if the OP is consistently hitting low on the face, these two are the most likely to help.

Low and rear COG will promote a high launch.

Definitely could be user error, on my part, but it is tough to get any height off the deck. Which I guess is my barometer of forgiveness for low on the face.

Sometimes solid contact is the most important aspect of 3 wood play for some of us.

I was never a good fairway wood player for most of my life, in fact; I chose to carry a 4 wood over a 3 wood as a band aid.

Anyways, the steelhead xr has a very playable sole and its versatility out of many lies is delivered as advertised.

I liked the 3 wood so much, I got he 5 wood afterwards to swap out my 2 iron.

Shallow face:  TEE XCG7 (none Beta), Ping G, G400, Adams Tight Lie

Easy to launch: Callaway Fusion, TEE EX10 (None Beta), Ping G25

Swing flaw:  Ball too forward, trying to hit up on the ball to get it up
Swing Fix: Play the ball back, hit down like a hybrid to get the ball up and the most important, do not try to over swing or over power with your fairway wood (most common mistakes)
http://moenormangolf...-woods-hybrids/

Short term fix:  Leave the fairway wood at home, hit irons or hybrids.  (chances are, you will have more balls in play, better approach angles to the pin and score better)
Driver: G20 (hard to replace, not from lack of trying)
Fairway: TEE EX9 Tour 17* with Rough Silver 70
Hybrid: TEE XCG7 Beta with Recoil iRod
Irons: OnOff 2015 Model with Recoil 680 F4
Wedges: Scor 50 and 58 with TT Black Gold
Holy Grail: Honma CB8055 (since 1989)
Ball: TaylorMade TP (2014)
Grip: MCC with 2.5 wraps
