I just use my iPhone on Slow Mo mode, it works pretty good, I believe it does 60fps.

I have a LG V10. You can get it really cheap now. It is the only phone I know capable of full manual exposure for 720p video at 120fps and 1080p at 60fps. Maximum shutter speed can be set to 1/6000 sec which is enough to capture a blur free shaft at impact. You need a lot of light to use this shutter speed though.

Casio fc500s.

It's MADE for golf.  Has a flip screen so you can point the screen at yourself when hitting balls.  It has a motion detector which you can "wave" at the camera to start and stop it hands free.  It has built in wifi to transfer photos/videos to your phone/tablet wirelessly.  Several slow motion modes.  A "hit" detector, single frame advance playback.  You can imprint plane/alignment lines on the screen during playback.

Also takes very good still pictures for general use.

I have the Casio exilim which is awesome for golf. Frame by frame, probably still the best, however the convinience of the ihpne 6 and later combined with V1 is perfectly adequate for swing analysis, even if it isn't quite as clear as the casio's.

Totally agree with above. Get all the great camera you want, but still have transfer to at least a laptop to see anything real. Use an iPhone 6 or better or a newer iPad. You can hit as many balls as you like, easily edit to the swing you want - then quickly import to you favorite app. I've used both V1 and Hudl Technique. I prefer the Hudl.

Plus look on Amazon for a golf tripod. I found one for cheap that is a collapsible monopod, which can hook to your bag or spike in the ground. Two sizes of holders for either phone or pad. Don't waste your time with a full camera for personal use.

iPhone 6. Much easier to edit and transfer and you probably already have one. There's no question that some of the aforementioned cameras will give better quality, but imo it's not so match better that's worth the tradeoff for the convienence iPhone 6 or later gives.

This.  All responses were good products, but the concvnience of your phone makes up for any deficiencies.
Did you see him smacked up
And cracked up
With his tongue on his chin
And his club in his hand,
Swinging from the rafters
Like a real RocknRolla

The slow motion on my Samsung Galaxy S6 is excellent. Most modern mobile phones have this feature.

No.  Unless you wanna spend $1,200 a year.  V1 pro is for teachers with a branded academy

DO you guys typically record directly through teh V1 app or record in slow mo and then import into V1? Seems like recording through the app gives lower quality video

Great topic guys... Right now I'm using the Technique app by HUDL, really like the playback abilities that it has. Anyone have a preference between Technique and V1?

Record in slow mo, trim, then import.

iPhone 6,7 or smaller iPad Pro. Can't beat the convenience. Amazon a Nootle tripod stand if you go iPad route.

Same here, record/trim first and then import to V1 afterwards.
