In the process of changing from 712 MB 3-PW to 716 MB 4-PW, I basically also have to change from 48/54/60 wedges to 47/52/56/60. Since I have black TVD's w/S400, it seems like a waste to not just bend the 54K and keep using it. Since I got the K grind specifically for bunker play, the obvious choice is to bend to 56*, but each loft has a different head shape and the 54K doesn't look nearly as good as my 60M when opened up. If I bend it to 52*, it would basically play like a 52F which is what I would get anyway, but then I would have an SM6 sand wedge in between my TVD gap and lob wedges.

Thoughts?

I just went from 47/52/56/60 to 48/54/60.  I bent my 56 down to 54 vs bending the 52 up because of how the bounce was going to work out.

I did not change my irons, I just bent my PW up one degree.

My biggest issue for dropping the GW was too much short game confusion.  I wanted to move to a wedge setup to give me more of a difference between the clubs trajectories on pitch shots(low with large roll out, med with med roll out, high with min/zero roll out).

I'm sticking with this for a while to see how it goes, plus it's nice having some options at the long end of the bag.  Now I can go with strong 3w and 5w/2I, where before I only used 4 wood.
Current WITB:
Driver: Taylormade R7 TP 8.5
Fwy Wood: something small, considering putting a cobra F6 in play
Irons: something older, forged, and MOI matched
Wedges: Cobra One length 54&60 deg w/TT DG X100
Putter: Slotline HMI w/Superstroke Slim 3.0
Ball: TP5/B330S/ProV1

Currently contemplating what club to add...utility driving iron, hybrid, or another fairway wood

Normally I might agree with you, but the top 10 players in proximity to the hole from 50-125 yards all use 4 wedge setups. Granted, there are 3 in the next 6 who use 3 wedges, but the numbers definitely support 4 wedges.

I agree with you, the 4 wedge setup is better from a proximity to hole from 50-125 on approach shots stand point.
