Guess this was kinda expected? Taylor Made said to have violated several PXG patents.

Should get fun.

It's like Taylormade didn't even try to hide the fact that they copied not only the look, but every manufacturing process of PXG in relation to the P790. Strange move.

Like to see the patent on that AND how it is even close to what PXG has done.

Putting foam inside of the iron is hardly patentable (well it might be, but that would be a patent that could easily be nullified on challenge). Without reading the suit and the patents involved it's impossible to know if TM actually did infringe on some part of PXG's manufacturing process for getting the foam in there.

If this was any other company but PXG, I would assume they were launching this suit in an attempt to get TM to just buy them.

Surely TM knew this was coming well before launching the product. They must fee like they have a legit stance here.

Yeah, you're right.  It's probably the weight screws that PXG is pissed about.

Taylormade is only worth maybe 500 million, I'm sure Bob could buy them with the change under his sofa cushions.

It means he's getting ready to piss away a bunch of money on lawyers.  The idea that a foam filled golf club with screws in it isn't at this point covered by prior art is crazy talk.

I say they settle this on the course. Let DJ, Day and Rory play the irons for a year. If their world rankings go the path of Ko, Billy Ho, Zach Johnson & Charl Schwartzel then they are indeed PXG ripoffs!

Unfortunately, they don't have the same soft forged like feel that PXGs irons have according to a recent monitor trial by Michael Newton, so better give those PXGs a try before they raise the price.

How do you know PXG didn't purchase the patents?  The prior art could be 1998.
