Hit them tonight, just pure....and look even better in person...
Forgiving at all?

X Forged are very forgiving, Apex MB is definitely an easier to hit MB vs others on the market.

If the apex MB is an easier MB to hit then I'm gonna have to try them out because they are such a nice looking club

After hitting these, the new MB's and the UT I will say the new MB's are probably as soft as any iron I've hit in my opinion (including some Miuras) and were also very easy to hit.  The X Forged '18 was not quite as soft, but was very consistent and very forgiving.  The UT was also surprisingly soft feeling compared to some of the other utility irons on the market and very consistent as far as yardage within ~5 yard variance on trackman for me.  They all also looked very good.  A combo set between these three clubs would be a great set up I think.

Callaway website was updated yesterday (according to google), displaying release date as 20th October. Anyone know if this is the same in the UK?

Irons are up on the US site this morning.  Not a ton of info except specs and 10/20/17 release date.

If these are anything like the 13 version, should be very good.

Yeah, I agree. I know we're judging clubs based on the aesthetics of the part that never hits a ball but, I like pretty clubs in my bag. I think they'd look gorgeous with no lines but, they'd also look almost identical to my Z765's so I see why they had to do it the way they did.

I'm ready to order now, I only wish the New Dynamic Gold 120/115 or the 105 shafts were available in these, but I can live with it.

They'd probably be like a $200 upcharge since they are so damn expensive. What happened to steel iron shafts costing like $8/each? Of all the things in golf getting way too expensive this is the one that I can't wrap my head around.

Yeah, you’re probably right, I don’t understand it either.  I’ll probably just get the DG S300, but I play my irons at +1/2 inch, so hopefully I can get the sw customized at D-2.
I was looking at the DG shafts on the Golfworks site for reference earlier today, $21 for a standard Dg, was $8 not too long ago.

All the clubmakers are upping their prices and providing premium products, shaft companies figured they could get a piece of the pie too... Shame.

Absolutely, I will say though, Callaway probably offers more upgraded shafts at no charge than most OEM's, along with Mizuno.

Yes.

This model was.  I briefly owned the Apex Pro, but I've been playing the Apex (2014) for 3 years now.  I'm looking for a replacement - and hoping there's a good new model of Apex Pro coming up soon.

Iron wise you're absolutely right...but their shaft matrix for woods always seems oddly outdated, with middle f the road offerings.

Based on the side by side address pic they kind of remind me of the X Tour iron that came out when Callaway signed Phil Michelson. Those were one of the best sets of irons Iíve owned and gamed them for years.

I was ordering an Odyssey putter for a member today, and while I was on callawayconnect (wholesale ordering site) I took a peak to see if the new X Forged were available for preorder. They were not, but I clicked on Epic Pro to see if any new shafts had been added and DG 120 was a no upcharge option. Not sure if it will be the same for X Forged but it's a good sign that Callaway has it available for other irons.
