I have a Srixon U45 20 degree driving iron I took out the stock shaft and put in a Project X Black 6.0 hybrid shaft in it.  The trouble is when I swing it I hit low snap hooks with it.  I don't do this with any other club in my bag and swing inside out.  I don't feel I swing any different.  Could a shaft cause this?  I play to a 2 index and can look at my WITB for other clubs and shafts.

A driving iron is still an iron and needs a descending blow. Many times I see people teeing their di's high and trying to launch them with the result often being snap hooks

I hit down on it like a 3 iron.  I kept switching back and forth between my 5 iron and this and the 5 iron was straight.  Just a bad fit for me I guess

I don't have a 3 iron with the set and there isn't a big difference in loft between my 4 and 5 iron (2.5 degrees).  I have a large gap between 2 hybrid and 5 iron and hate high lofted hybrids.

Did you ever hit it with the stock shaft in? Or did you change it right away?

I played the stock shaft for awhile, had too much draw to it (shaft was soft) but no snap hooks with it.

Are they forged? I would spend the money getting the 4I bent instead.

Edit - missed the signature line. Try bending the 4I first.
