Headed from Madison, MS on 9/21 to play golf at Ross Bridge. Then to Barnsley to stay the night and play Friday morning with Tour Championship in afternoon. Will be in Athens Saturday for Mississippi State vs Georgia. Will be staying in Atlanta and looking for a course to play on the way back home Sunday.

We've played Farmlinks before and really enjoyed it, but wouldn't mind checking out another option to play. Limestone Springs and The Frog look to be along our way back and get pretty good recommendations. Are they both about the same as far as condition, layout and difficulty? Anything else I'm missing to replace these with a Sunday round...Oxmoor?

Thanks

Can't help with current conditions or any comparisons to The Frog...  I did play Limestone Springs and Oxmoor a few years ago and really enjoyed LS. Oxmoor I thought was a bit funky and not nearly as good as LS. i think you'd find LS to have plenty of challenge with a good mix of holes and strategy. Very nice piece of property with some good land movement, but nothing to crazy. Super fun course.

Frog has bent greens. Might want to call and Inquire about punch schedule.

No need to inquire, the web site says the did it on Sept 5-6.  Like the course though.  Good shots are rewarded and it is usually in very good condition. There isn't a lot of traffic there either.  And although a cart fee is mandatory, it is an easy course to walk, relatively flat and usually a short distance from green to tee.

Limestone Springs is a fun track. Farmlinks is far and away the better experience. Ross Bridge is just flat out terrible and overpriced in my opinion.
Barnsley Gardens is wonderful too. I had a national membership there back in the day and loved it. Tell Alan in the golf shop you are a big Tennessee football fan and that might get you a deal.

Limestone Springs is a great course. I've played a lot of courses in the Southeast, and this one ranks near the top. Play the 1st hole from the back tee no matter what!

Sounds like a great time.  The UGA course is a very good layout if you happen to have time to play it.  Reminds me a little of Augusta with its rolling terrain and Georgia pines. Have not played Limestone but have played Farm Links and The Frog many times and don't think you would complain about The Frog.
