Just ordered one of the Vice multi-packs. This includes their Pro Plus, Pro, Pro Soft, Tour and Drive balls. 10 balls in total.
I have a SkyTrak launch monitor that I will be trying these on. I have tried a bunch of balls on this and nothing really stands out overall above the Pro V.
This includes Bridgestone, Taylormade, Srixon, Callaway, etc... I shoot around 78-80 on most rounds and a low 75. I'm not a pro but my swing is pretty consistent. Overall reason why i stick with ProV is 1. the feel for putting a ProV, nothing else matches it, and 2. i find so many of these over any other manufacturer that it really keeps me stocked up with a brand I am used to, LOL.

I figure on recording results on a wedge (110yds), 8 iron (155yds), 5 iron (195yds), 3 wood (240 yds) and Driver (260+yds) and of course feel when putting. Anyone have any recommendations on an evaluation process? I was figuring on 10 shots per ball compared to a ProV should give some idea? Ill record overall distance and side spin. Or maybe just post the overall results from each ball?

If someone has already posted something like this please advise an i wont post a duplicate.

All the best.

Also very interested. I shoot approximately the same scores and have settled on a ball yet. As for a method. The only ball testing I saw on youtube is when Rick Shiels did his ball testing. He did chipping, pitching, and putting by just writing down notes on feel. Then he put 7 Iron, Wedge, and Driver on monitor for 3-5 shots to see spin numbers. He also did a durability test with 10 full sand wedge shots to see how well it held up.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the feedback Pheenom. Sounds like about the same test I was planning on. My biggest criticism is actually the putting. I liked Taylormade balls for everything but putting. Almost switched over to Taylormades except for the soft feel in putting. I switched over to Cleveland putters just to get the steel face because I dislike the spongy feel many of the soft feel balls and plastic inserts combined end up creating. Looking forward to testing these.

I'm intrigued to hear the results. I actually don't care for Pro-Vs. I've never bought any. I've won some and found a bunch and they seemed good but, I just never wanted to buy them.

I did some testing on 2016 ProV1X vs. VICE Pro Plus and saw nearly identical numbers with about 5 shots through almost the whole bag. The only place I noticed a significant difference was the ProV1X spun a bit more around the green (inside 40yds). Haven't played it too much on the course but it's seemed near identical when I have.

Interested to see/hear your thoughts and results!!!
