For those who have been before, would you say that there are more Patrons on the Grounds of Augusta National for the Practice or Tournament Rounds? I know when I've been in the past (2011 Mon. & Tues. Practice Rounds & 2014 Fri. Tournament Round), I felt that there was less people on the Grounds during the Tournament as opposed to the Practice Rounds...

There Tuesday and Wednesday in 2016. All I can say is observing all the grandstands and surrounding areas on 16, 12, 15, and all the other holes, let alone tee boxes, crowds looked nothing like what you see on TV. We could see anything we wanted, get up to the ropes, walk pretty freely around.

Big crowds, though.

very possible in certain areas of the course but not always. the practice rounds are the best because you can film and its very casual and alot of players interact with the patrons. some practice round tickets go for as much as thur/fri round tickets. The short game practice areas are a golf fans dream watching these guys practice all the shots required. if you cant get tourney passes the practice rounds are equal and in my opinion superior because you catch as much action as you want and the groups/pairings are always elite. I followed Spieth, DJ, Phil and Fowler for 9 a few years back. lots of betting and fireworks.

Practice rounds for sure, based on being at every Masters since 2003.

Greg, how many more Patrons would you say on average from a Practice Round vs. a Tournament Round? 2x more or less or more?

My guesstimate would be around 10K+ based on the day and weather.  A lot of badge holders sell their badges, especially for practice rounds and then add the patrons that are selected in the lottery for practice round tickets.  The better the weather the more badge holders show up that don't sell their badges.

Wow, I would guess the opposite based on my experience. I did a practice round in 2013, granted it was a Monday which seems to be less attended, but I didn't feel the course was packed at all, at least not nearly as much as what I remember from watching rounds during tv coverage. Whatever you wanted to see and whenever you could pretty much walk up and find a seat. Far less crowded than any other event I'd been to, including other majors and even non majors.
