I am looking to actually invest in a new golf ball. I have always been a guy that just plays whatever junk I can find, so I've never really factored in the ball into my game.

here is what id like: A yellow or colored ball, good spin around the greens, lowered ball flight (i hit the thing a mile in the air) and decent distance off the tee. Durability would also be nice, but it isn't a must have. Id say 3 piece minimum. Id also like something that isn't rock hard and putts consistently

Little about my game: 10-15 handicap. i haven't actually kept one in several years. Swing speed is around 100. I hit driver around 230-240 carry and i hit a 7 iron around 160. I like to chip, flop, and pitch. i miss a lot of greens, so scrambling is what saves my rounds. i need a ball that will stop on a dime if necessary and i can potentially back up. i hit the ball a mile in the air, so the wind is a killer.

i played the the NXT tour S yesterday and it wasn't too bad. It was still going a mile high, so i am sure its more of a swing issue than anything. I actually played a sleeve of volvik vivid balls monday, and saw a more piercing flight which i liked. thing wouldn't spin around the greens for anything thought which is priority #1 for me. i know there is no such thing as the perfect ball, so i would sacrifice distance for spin.

For lower ball flight with good spin, i'd go with either the B330s or the Srixon Z Star. Srixon has the yellow Z Stars.

I took the plunge on 5 dozen Vice Pro Plus Lime balls this morning. They are supposed to be very similar to the B330s. And I like the lime color better than the yellow. I figure if I don't like them I can ship them off to the BST.

Sounds like a z star to me.  Srixon makes a fine ball.

I would say Wilson FG Tour or Q Star Tour for your performance preference. But since you need yellow, go with the Z Star.

B330RX, Chrome Soft or Z-Star XV.  All good choices in yellow!

I played the volvik s4 in bright green this weekend and really liked it a lot. It games very similar to the pro v1x.  Maybe a little softer. I assume the s3 would be more like the v1. The s4 or s3 would definitely be worth a shot
