In the hole.

Skins game with lots of carryovers on the line. My shot landed in an impossible position in a bunker behind a tree and well below the green. All I wanted to do was get it out of the sand, avoid as much of the tree as possible, and perhaps get it up and down from wherever it ended up.

I hit it high, it bounces off a limb, lands on the green and rolls in.

The looks on the faces of the other three fellas was priceless. All I could do was walk up, take my ball out, proclaim my birdie and sit back and watch them all make par.

No way could I, or the Bryan Brothers for that matter, pull that one off again. But I have a feeling it was funnier to me than it was to them. (Although they were laughing at the shot and ribbing me for the rest of the round about it)

In a high school golf match this guy comes and shows up to the first tee bragging about his new r7 quad TP (the $800 one) . First shot, with everyone watching, he hits it dead off the toe, the ball his the tee marker, goes backwards onto the practice putting green OB.

I've hit a few into swimming pools. Luckily both places the pools were not open yet. You have to play early in the am to avoid the swimmers.

I don't know if this is a funny place at least not to me but I hit a chip over a green and when I walked over I saw my ball laying at the base of a tree. I reached down to pick it up because I couldn't play it not noticing it was laying on top of a curled up baby cooper head snake. He had second thoughts about me retrieving my ball. I jumped 4 ft in the air and went running away. I HATE snakes.

Many years ago I played a course that had a huge palm tree right in the middle of one of the fairways. Of course I hit my ball dead center right into the low hanging palm fronds and watched it drop straight down.

There was only one big problem. The ball that fell out wasn’t mine! Apparently my ball dislodged another ball and got stuck there instead.

I will never forget I'm playing with my ex and she hits a nice 2nd shot on our finishing par 5. The ball is still bouncing down the fairway and from the trees on the left comes a juvie redtail hawk and he proceeds to play with her ball. He would grab it and fly a few feet and drop it, and repeat. We were speechless, esp as we are both bird and wildlife enthusiasts. That really made our day.

I was playing alone after work one afternoon when I was setting up to hit my approach on hole 9, I heard a thump then a ball bounced off the top of my head and dropped down right onto my ball. The guy behind me literally hit his drive, it took one bounce, skipped off of the top of my head and dropped directly on to my ball. It didn't hurt and I literally almost fell over laughing. I wish someone could have seen it.

A shot than ended up underneath the landscaping mesh on the bank of a decaying bunker. The greens crew removed the bunker that winter. (If it happens to you, you get a free drop.)

On a chubby mga rules officials lap as he was spotting balls for groups on a blind tee shot hole. We didn't even know he was there until we walked up and He laughed and said I have a titleist on my lap. I gotta say that I lucked out since it prevented my ball from going into some nasty wet fescue on that rainy day.

When I first started playing golf, I hit my tee shot on a par 3, & it landed "inside" the golf bag of the players driving off from the green.  He stopped & had to empty his bag for me to find my ball.  Embarrassing, to say the least.

Pushed my drive a little on a dogleg right. Drove past it in the cart probably 3 Times.

My ball has ended up in a tree a few times, once it was in a little tree about a foot off the ground and fortunately managed to advance it.

As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round.

I was in Myrtle a few years back on a teebox. On an adjacent green, some Brits hit approach shots, and drove up. About the time their cart gets parked, an eagle takes one of their balls and flys off. My drunk buddy is cracking up and trying to yell, “Merica” but he’s laughing too hard.

I also hit a ball into a strip club parking lot that was near the green at a golf club in Santee, SC. Let that one go because if I went to pick it up I wouldn’t of finished my round.

Inside of a Star Shower LED projector. I was hitting some wedges in the yard and skulled one dead center into the front of the lens.  They're not too sturdily built, that much I can say.

A fair few years ago we were playing a links course in the Scotland. One of our playing partners, who really wasn't that good, played a long second shot after duffing his drive.

I'm not even sure what club he was using, but it must have been a long iron, a 3 or a 4. Anyway, he always seemed to think that you had to get the club under the ball to get it in the air, and this thought, along with the club probably being wide open at the top led to more or less a flop shot that Phil Mickelson would've been proud of. It went miles in the air and landed about 30 years in front of him and straight into a water tank!

It was the only the water on the entire course!

I actually don't know where it ended up, but when I was younger I used to practice in a field by my house and there was a drop spot for industrial construction equipment with a fence and netting. I was tired of the hitting only short irons as the field was only long enough to practice a 9-iron at most, so I got the great idea of practicing my drives by teeing up in front of the net of the drop down area and having a good whack at it. I made about 5 shots working on making sure I kept my width, to up even with the hands, and all that jazz....when I finally connected on a beauty. The problem the ball went through the net towards the 150-year-old houses on the other side and I ran like hell before finding out what if anything I managed to hit with the best drive in my life up to that point.

7-8 years ago my wife was out of town so I had some golf buddies over after a round. It gets dark and we've had many beverages and for some reason we break out a wedge and try hitting balls into the roaring fire pit from about 25 yards. I have a huge yard with no neighbors backing onto us so this is no big deal. None of us are anywhere close due to our condition. We are about to finish our idiocy when I decide to hit one more from about 60 yards. I open up the wedge to hit a high shot in and hit it perfectly, it goes into the black sky and we lose it. A few seconds goes by and all we hear is a loud "Ding" and sparks fly up from everywhere, I must have flown it into the pit where it burned. Odds of me getting it in there in one shot in that condition were 1 in a million lol.

Not exactly the funniest but the end result worked. Was playing a par 4 slightly uphill to a green that was up on a high bluff. OB left with houses and wide open right side. Hit a good drive but yanked it a bit with a hook. Guy was out there with his wife sitting in chairs with a black Weber grill a few feet in front of them. My drive landed in the rough and watched it track right into the bottom of the grill with a loud bang. Drove down to them and apologised and they said no worry has happened a few times before. Oh and my ball bounced off the grill dead right back into the rough. And of course I said "I would gladly pay you tuesday for a hamburger today. " No go.
