One of my favorite deals is back. Maxfli U6 Tour Soft, U6 Tour, and U6 Tour X are $29.99, buy 1 get 1 free at DSG/Golf Galaxy. Price includes the personalized version and free shipping on orders $25+. May be able to get them cheaper if you have a stacking promo code or one of their mailed coupons.

For a very good quality urethane ball, $1.25 per ball is an absolute steal. Time for me to stock up for the next few months.

How are these compared to the U4X? I liked that ball but it wasn't very durable...

That's one of my big gripes with maxfli balls. I got a free sleeve of the U6 and while I didn't love them they're better than the u4 in terms of durability. At least it seemed so to me.

I wasn't a big fan of the X either, but the others work well for me.

The X is very firm and clicky. LOUD off the driver for sure. Wasn't a big fan. The U/6 tho is a solid ball. Wears quickly but when cheap thats ok!

Gah I still have 2-3 dozen of the U6X and don't enjoy them, for reasons others have mentioned.

I love the Tour Soft. Probably going to pick up 2doz with personalization.

U4 was excellent, and so is U6.  I recommend the Tour Soft version.  They are not smooshy soft like a Chrome Soft or Duo U.  More like a Z-Star so don't let the name worry you.  If you like a firm ball get the regular version.  The X version should be reserved for guys that like a very firm feeling ball.

In my experience the paint used on these balls is a notch below that used by some other companies, Srizon in particular.  I'd rate the paint similar to that used on the FG Tour Wilson's.  The shine goes away fairly quickly but the cover holds up just fine regardless.

Soft a good winter ball with the low compression? Might be worth picking up for the cold months coming up.

I have $10 in rewards certs floating around somewhere... if I find them, I'll probably pull the trigger on a dozen Tour and a dozen Tour Soft.  If not, I'll stare at my cache of ~45 dozen balls and wonder what might have been...

Went there today checking out running shoes at looked at the golf balls too - didn't know companies had made 6 layer balls.  Anyway, I pulled a Maxfli U6 Tour Soft ball out of the sleeve and drop it on the concrete isle - sounded too clicky for me and moved on!

My Golf Galaxy has Maxflis with a black dot in the practice bays. I actually like the feel and would like to try them on the course.  Asked one of the employees what kind of Maxfli it was, and he said it was some type of practice / range ball, not sold at retail!

The u6 have the black dot. Those aren't practice balls. They are actually great balls. I used them for years until the tp5x beat them out this year. I still have 4 dozen from stocking up on this same dicks deal last year. I just save them for winter and scrambles now but they are by no means an inferior ball. I preferred them over pro vs to be honest.

The balls kind of threw me because there are no markings or writing on the ball other than "Maxfli" and the black dot.  Thanks for the tip!

The stores here used U3's a couple years ago when they still sold U3's, but I'm pretty sure I remember them switching to the U6 at some point. But yes, they have the black dot and the same design scheme as the other U series balls I've had.

I ended up picking up two dozen of maxfli u6. One tour prox and one tour soft. Played a round with them today and loved it. Switching over from e6 soft/speed to these for now. They check up very nicely on approach shots too.

Found a Tour on the course today (maybe from this Dick's sale; never seen a Maxfli ball before at all) and it looked to be a couple-hit-wonder with a big scuff from either the cart path or a wedge. Played it for a few holes before I lost it. Cover doesn't seem to be a very durable and I didn't care for the feel. It's a good deal but I may swing by Dicks to check out the Tour Soft instead.

I play proV1 X. This is the best,(now) $15.00 a dozen, ball you can play. A little harder than a proV1 or proV1 X and cover cuts a little easier. Good value now but not at original $45.

I would guess that Maxfli paints the balls white, same way Titleist does. Srixon injects the white paint color into the urethane molding, thus when the ball wears it still stays incredibly white.

At least that's how I'm going to rationalize why the Maxfli wears as easily and poorly as Titleist balls.

If these balls said "Kirkland Signature" on them they would be flying off the shelfs!;)

Honestly now, they are the same price as the Ksig and frankly just about the same quality so get um while they're hot!

I bought some of these to try, they aren't too bad, however they remind of the old Maxfli Revolution in terms of the cover color. After about a half round with the old Revolution, we used to refer to them as "Optic Brown" colorwise. This is the only thing that throws me off about these balls right now.

Had the 6x and 6tour from the last time they were on sale, could only make it 9 holes,  55 degrese and felt and sounded horrible, at turn grabbed some gamers,  hands down better ball

I bought two dozen U6 Tour Soft and like 'em so far. Love the Gamer too. Dicks has Gamer 15 packs (free sleeve of Gamer Tour) on clearance for $14.97 and the whole Gamer lineup on sale for three dozen for $40. Might go back for a couple 15 packs and some Gamer Soft dozens.

Anyone have some coupons they could share?
