I played my CB-57s today (first use).  They are great, and I get along pretty well with the KBS tour shafts.

Update: I've played mine now for about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. Played in our club tournament and won 4 closest to the pins in the 2 day event. Irons have been treating me well i've been throwing darts. These won't be leaving the bag ever!

So tempting. Are the CB57's the most "forgiving" of these?

CB-501s are forgiving too, but I think the Passing points are supposed to be Miura's most forgiving irons. The cb-57s are a muscle back style iron that has the thin top line of a blade but some forgiveness and exceptional feedback.

I had a set of Lehman grind TM 300 irons.  IMO, the 57s' shape is a cleaner version of the Lehmans.

Just pulled the trigger on some MINT 5 - PW CB 57s. Always wanted these clubs but always out of my price range. Sold a few clubs and golf stuff out of the garage and was able to order these and only put out around $150. Thanks to the OP, t.croom, and 12aces for his $15 off code.

Interested to see how they fare against my Srixon Z 945s, which were the last set of clubs I was going to get..... :cheesy: .

You'll have to let me know how it goes. Tempted myself and I currently have the 945's

So, finally had a chance to get out to the range and also play a round with the Miuras. Took a 945 8-iron to the range as well to compare feel. Here's my 2 cents. First, range balls are rocks and the balls at Oak Creek are pretty crappy due to how busy that range gets. I thought the 945 would feel better due to the Steelfibers versus the KBS Tour shafts but I was wrong. The Srixons feel great but the Miura's feel denser. Hard to explain but on good shots, I'll take the Miuras over the 945s (and I love the 945s). Distance was a little shorter for me in the Miuras but that may be a learning curve type thing. Normal distance on a 8-iron with the 945 is 150-155. Miura on good shots was around 150...During the round I played, I took more club and choked down. On a 160 shot slightly uphill and into a mild wind, choked down a six-iron and put it to two feet. There were three iron shots that blew me away though, not so much for distance or accuracy but for feel...or the absence of. There was absolutely zero feeling of impact on a 9-iron, 6-iron and PW, just a dense and direct transfer of energy. I've had a bunch of forged clubs from Mizuno MP 32s to Apex MBs to my 945s and the Miuras are different. When they were over $1500 I'd say not worth it but for what you can get them for right now from 2ndswing, it's a no-brainer if the forged experience is what you are looking for...

Dang, not really a sparkling review of Miura. Glad I held out. There are still two sets of irons out there for the money worth trying at $700. Not surprised to see it doesn't live up to the hype. Forged is forged.

What I think he is trying to say is that Miura irons feel so good and soft that on a pure shot it's almost as if you feel nothing except the turf interaction.... I've hit many different brands of forged irons from Scratch, Mizuno, Srixon, Bridgestone, Fourteen, Honma....etc. None of these compare to the feel of a pure struck Miura. You're in SD, so go to Fairway Golf USA and just try hitting a few off the mats to compare feel. These are the BEST irons you can get for $700.

Why you shilling for 2nd swing?

I'm not shilling for 2nd swing. This thread was initially created because I was skeptical and to make sure the products were actually legit because Mirua's retail for $245/head and I thought it was too good to be true. After buying mine and seeing that they are 100% legit I thought i'd share for those wanting to purchase practically brand new Mirua irons at a fraction of the retail price. Because i've been wanting a set for 5+ years but couldn't pull the trigger at $1500+ for irons so getting them at $700 new, for better prices than any new set of irons on the market was a deal I didn't want to keep to myself.

I think you mistook my review. I think Miuras are definitely a step above all the other forged clubs I've played--Mizuno, Bridgestone, Nike, Callaway, Titleist, Srixon, Adams...

The feel on a pure strike is unlike other forged clubs. Like I said, not worth it to me when they were over $1500 but for under $600 for 5-PW is just incredible.

YMMV...

He's not shilling for 2ndswing. He's sharing a GREAT deal. That' what this section is for. If you don't want a set of Miura's at unheard of prices, that's your choice. Personally, t.croom did sll of us who purchased a great favor by posting his experience with 2ndswing.

Just got mine today. Did anyone else's have some damage? Mine have some very tiny dents on a few of the heads, most likely from shipping. I wish they used bubble wrap on the heads.

They are extremely soft forgings. You could probably dent them with your fingernail lol.

I missed out on the 599 price.  I went into the local 2nd swing here in Phoenix to hit them.  The Passing points with the S400 Tour Issue shafts, I was getting about 10 yards more then any other set up.

I wish I would have pulled the trigger!
