Hey guys , going to south FLA with the wife and little one in December.

Need to have a golf course on the premises along with a good sized pool , nice restaurants etc....

Searches keep turning up Turnberry Isle and Doral. Both look nice but is there anything else in the area I should look into ?

All feedback appreciated, thank you.

This maybe a little far north, but The Breakers in West Palm Beach, and PGA Resort are good options in my opinion. 2 courses at the breakers are very good in my opinion. Plus there's 4 pools the beach and a dozen restaurants f memory serves. PGA is home to the honda classic, the other courses on property are solid tracks as well.

One course is on the Breakers property and is pretty short. The other is a 20-30 min shuttle ride from the property so add an hour to the Round.

After this storm, you may want to change your plans.

Would presume the courses will be fine in three months.

I'd say it's going to be close.
I live in Hilton Head and there were several courses closed for that long (and longer) after hurricane Mathew last year.  In fact, 1 course never did reopen.
All depends on how much damage each course got and how good their grounds crew (and financial situation) is.

It would be in a resort's best interest to have their courses up and running as soon as possible. I'm pretty sure Doral has a few bucks laying around to handle damages.

FWIW most east coast clubs are open or will be in the coming weeks (definitely within three months though) or so. Except for the clubs that are closed during summer season obviously. My clubs right on the beach and we had members going around playing today, granted it took three ten hour days with full crew cleaning up, but we got it mowed out and in playing condition

Turnberry Aventura, 36 holes of golf, nice pool and family area and mall right across the street, best option

Biltmore is Coral Gable
