Have reviewed several threads on golf in this area but nothing recent.  I have a South Florida Golf Pass and will be in Naples the 9th through the 16th of this month.

Looking for information and recommendations on what courses to play based on the following courses:
Bear's Paw Country Club, Bonita Bay Club Naples, Foxfire Country Club, Golf Club of the Everglades, Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club, LaPlaya Golf Club, Naples Grande, The Club at Olde Cypress, Naples Beach & Hotel Golf Club, The Quarry Golf Club, The Rookery at Marco and the TwinEagles Club.

Are there courses I left out that I should be looking at in the area?

Thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations.

That's a good list.
Grey oaks, Treviso bay should be added. Lely flamingo if it's dry is a really fun track and a barging in summer.
Where are you staying?
I'm in marco
I can Break Rocks
Krank F-5.. UST Tour and or the Cobra F7+ > no winner yet.
Adams Speedline 15* Wasabi stiff
XXIO 5 wood , proprietary shaft
Wilson 2 iron from the 1980s, teaspoon shaft unknown.
Mizuno MP-52 3-PW (48*), DG X100, may soon get recoils.
Mizuno MP R-12 at 54* and 60* DG spinners.
Bettinardi C-01
THE Kirkland Signature 4 piece urethane cover golf ball.

Bonita Bay Club Naples, Hammock Bay Golf & Country Club, The Quarry Golf Club, and the TwinEagles Club

Don't think you could go wrong with any of these picks. I've played the first 3 and enjoyed playing each one. As for Twin Eagles depending on which 18 you play I believe the Champions Tour has an event every year on one of there 18 hole courses so you might enjoying giving that course a try too.

Thanks dslatt33.  Would the first 3 rate as "must plays" or great plays in your opinion?  Trying to get a list of at least 4 or 5 must plays and a couple of great to play courses.

Not on your list of courses in the original post, but I believe Old Corkscrew participates in the South Florida Golf Pass. Great track that I'd put in the "must play" category. Very tough, with diabolical greens, but a great test. Haven't played it recently so I can't comment on current conditions, but should be on your radar.

Please post a follow up after your trip. Very interested in hearing your thoughts on the courses you play. Have fun!

Must play list...  Twin Eagles, Bonita Bay Naples, Everglades, La Playa. Hammock Bay, Naples Grande.

All of those should be in decent shape.  The only issue right now is the rain.  Many courses are soaked.

Bonita Bay and from what I hear Twin Eagles are definitely must plays. Hammock and the Quarry I would consider great plays.

Thanks for the replies.  We have postponed our trip to Naples.  I will update this thread once we make new arrangements and I get to play some of the courses recommended.  Prayers to all impacted by Harvey and Irma.

I play down in Naples every year, as my parents live there. I play Hammock Bay and The Rookery, both are beautiful courses, love them. Always in great condition and play is always fast. I've also played TPC Treviso, another great course, but it's still new so I think it needs to grow in a little, at least when I played a year and a half ago.

I'm from NY so going to Naples?... I don't think there is a bad course.....

Things are moving fast around here. There are still several areas that have no power, no water, sewage in the streets and are quite desperate and then are others that by the grace of God had only wind damage and no flooding. These have recovered and are simply a matter of flipped over trees and minor roof repairs, screen cages etc.

Bonita Bay Club, TwinEagles, and Hammock Bay are all solid tracks.  Hammock Bay might be a bit of a drive, depending on where you are staying at..

All of them....  some way more than others but 100% had damages.  Twin Eagles, Tiburon and Bonita have courses open now. Many others are still closed for indefinite periods. Many will be opening next week.  I'm not sure about reciprocal play at this point.

^^^ This. All have uncountable trees uprooted and many have flooding. I haven't even bothered calling the head at Rookery / Hammock Bay. I know they got pummeled and pretty sure they are only getting power back maybe today. Its gonna be weeks for many.

Calusa Pines is a the best course in Naples, not even close, good luck getting on. From a design stand point Old Corkscrew is the next best to me, it catch touch the conditions at Calusa but it's getting better and is pretty great shape right now but I'm bias since I'm a member. Twin Eagles Talon ( champions tour course) is very good. So are both course at Bonita Bay East. Naples Grande is a fun track with great greens. TPC Treviso Bay is another good one. Naples National is also a very good one but again good luck getting on. I could go on but those are they best ones for me, I have lived in Naples the past 5 years and have played most of them in town way or another, there's a lot of great golf there. Now I'm in West palm beach and the adventure begins all over again!

I used to live in the Naples area for 6 years while working in the golf business and worked a few of the courses you mentioned and was lucky enough to play them on a regular basis.  The one thing I miss is that during the summer months the luxury and accessibility of being able to play a lot of the golf courses in the SW Florida area.

I just got back on Monday, courses were all damaged but I was actually super surprised how well they took it. Obviously a lot of trees down, but the area has done a great job getting back on their feet.

I played Naples Grande and it was in incredible shape, I was greatly surprised.

I've played Lely Flamingo island atleast 12 times over the years, when I was down there, man I miss Naples, used to go every year atleast once or twice. Rockery is pretty good as is LaPlaya. I've been to Naples Grande which looks great but didn't play. Tiburon is a really fun place to play too, wide open, no rough, grip it and rip it, its in great condition.   Foxfire is an older course, don't think its that great, but I'd put it around decent..

Flamingo doesn't get the love it deserves. One of favorites for years. Of course, I don't get to play the swanky private places much.  A very tough course in tournament trim and fun as heck when not. Problem is its under water all summer when I can afford to play it.  LOL.

Flamingo Island is one of my all time favorite courses... Its the first course I went low at when I was around 24 years old , I shot 2 over, never forget that round, it was around 1995 ish..  I love how they play music on their awesome range. Their range is also one of my favorites... I played there for the 1st time in 1990 right after it opened. Golf Digest did a spread on the course and called it the  possible Doral of the West Coast"

Funny, I used to go down to Naples 2 x a year for a week at a time to visit my grandparents. In 2006 or 07 when they were about to sell their Condo, me knowing its probably the last time I visit Naples for a very long time I played Flamingo and on the last hole I was in the left hand rough about 185 out over water against a breeze, stuck a 4 iron tight , thinking "this might be the last shot in a while". that was so cool.. never forget it.
