Tiger is amazing to watch and the most dominant golf in the history of the sport.  I hope his back cooperates for not only his golfing career but personal life as well.  My guess is we shall see him in December at this tourney in Cali

Hey at least he'd be managed by a guy who knows how to handle pitchers.  Unlike Dusty Baker, the Sean Foley of managing pitchers.

You think so? That's like 3.5 months away and he only is chipping now. I hope he doesn't come back then. He needs a good 3.5 months after he can do a full swing to get ready

Golfs been as good as ever. But of course ratings would go up for a Tiger return, probably only temporarily just for the curiosity and spectacle alone. Once that's that's over they'd settle right back down.

I don't understand why people other than the tv exec's give a toss about ratings, we still get to see the best golfers available playing some amazing golf and finishes like last week. It's more than likely when Tiger comes back we will see less and less of everyone else and more of Tiger shooting 78 then after months of that people will then complain there is too much of Tiger playing like crap.
The best for Tiger and his body will be to take another 6 months minimum off, gradual build up and just see by march how his body is and don't start hitting driver etc until them. But Tiger is well know for poor decision after poor decision and someone will offer him 5 million to play Dubai again and hell accept and advertise that for months and rock up there in February and god knows what will happen.

Some of you talk like "golf" is some kind of TV show.  It's actually a fun game anyone can play.  You should try it some time.

Yes, I suppose we've gotten used to golf without Tiger or, at least, without the Tiger we remember.
But isn't it amazing how even his return to hitting chips and little pitches generates this amount of talk / speculation / hope?

He was a once-in-a-lifetime player and all the Jordan's and all the Dustin's in the world can't touch him, either for pizzazz or sheer talent.

Retrievers just want to bring back prey if they happen to see it. Setters want/need/have to go find something....and most have unlimited energy.

They  can be tough to train to walk on a leash. You want them to walk right beside you. They want to walk in front of you going side to side to side looking for stuff. Good luck with him!

But how long til he can take a full swing and pull hook one into the woods?

I kid I kid. I'm happy for him but I honestly feel that he will never win another PGA tourney again. Maybe he will finally wait til he's 100% ready this time to come back so he can be competitive, but do we seriously think he's ever going to recover and end up beating guys like DJ, Speith, JT, etc right now?

The last tourney he played in he had more birdies than anyone else in the field. And that was only his first rounds back and with a bad back at that. If he is healthy, both physically and mentally, no one is beating him.

Only a month away from striping it on the range!  66 worst ball in two months!  Will he lead the field in birdies while just barely avoiding DFL???  Can he fly first class to and from Abu Dhabi without needing surgery???  Tune in to fine out!!!

You are correct, unfortunately both the physical and mental health of his game has been gone for 10 years and isn't coming back.
