Bushnell V3 with Jolt

My Bushnell is having a hard time picking up the flag.  Was probably only successful 50% of the time.  It has no problem with trees, hills or people just the flag.  I sent it into Bushnell and they have come back with the following.

Issues- AL re-align
Recommended Action - CA clean and adjust
Cost - $55

Curious to know if any of you have done this or know anything about the problem or recommendation. Is it worth $55? Does Bushnell have a guarantee it will work with any type of warranty on their work?

Any advice is welcome.  Thanks in advance.

Please let me know how this works out for you. My bushnell is starting to act up as well and is eating through batteries.  If I can send it back and get it repaired for cheaper rather than buying a new rangefinder, I'd rather do that.

$55 to get everything back in working order seems reasonable vs spending $300 or more for a replacement. I had my original Bushnell V2 for over 5 years before selling it to a friend. It's still working fine. My take is just handle them gently like a digital camera and keep them dry and you should get a long life.

I sent my old 1500 back to them when I was having issues. Came back from them working fine and even had a wristband note what performed by the technician.

I'm having the same issue, but I think mine is still under the 2-year warranty. If it acts up during my next round, I'll be sending it in.

They have terrible service.  The V3s are known to have this issue, yet when you call them to ask about potential issues they try to tell you that you don't know how to use the range finder.

I have had my V3 for 4 seasons, and it is just now starting to have this issue as well.  Debating whether it is even worth the hassle to send into Bushnell, or just biting the bullet for a new rangefinder.  Given this model is a couple of generations old, I am expecting them not to bend over backwards to be helpful.

Can you provide some insight into the battery replacement process? Right now I'm between the NX7 Pro and the Bushnell Tour V4 Slope........glad I came to these forums and saw what you guys have to offer.

Can you provide some insight into the battery replacement process? Right now I'm between the NX7 Pro and the Bushnell Tour V4 Slope........glad I came to these forums and saw what you guys have to offer.
