Putter looks like the TP Mullen Proto he used when he made the switch to TM. What's interesting though is that it looks like it now includes a Scotty Cameron Black Matador grip rather than the Winn AVS Midsize that he originally had on the putter. Is this accurate?

I'm guessing he didn't like the new MCC Align, but couldn't get the regular NDMC ribbed since they weren't produced for sales (maybe none left?).
Those must be ribbed Tour Velvets.

Who do so many pros like the unfinished wedges? Does the rust give more spin?

Golf Pride still makes the normal mcc and the rib version is still probably avaliable for the tour. Maybe he wanted to make a switch.

Appears to be by the shape of the top line toe and bumpers.

The scotty grip is the same he used to win last year's fedex cup so maybe he is hoping for similar results.  The scotty matador version of the avs midsize is rounder and larger in the lower hand.  Its longer and weighs a little more as well.  Gotta go with what feels good I guess.

Looks like he's using the blades closer to retail (forged and chrome) versus the earlier version he had of the P730s that were 304 SS and fully machined milled. Those were interesting.

That 48 degree Milled Grind is great.

Shocked at the grip change. He seemed to love them black and white multicompounds. I prefer them myself over tour velvets. will be interesting to see if he switches back.

Agree and he even had the black and yellow compounds when he was with Titleist as well.

Was using black/yellow too before he switched to Nike in 2013.

Maybe the red driver heads didn't mesh too well with the black/yellow grips. lol

Can't imagine the Tour Velvets will stay considering how long he's used the NDMC (yellow then white). Putter looks strange, can't identify it properly and that 48 degree Milled Grind is sick 👌🏻!

And they look cool. Im guessing alot of the tour van wedges are not chromed since they get custom grinds

In his press interview today for the event he was asked how many putters he's used this season including practice rounds etc. He was counting them in his head and said 9. I've always played either the Tour Velvet or Crossline grips all the way through the bag. But recently I've been playing the MCC's on my woods and hybrids. It will be strange seeing him without the black/white MCC's. I wonder why he switched. Love the look of those TM blades!

When did he start using tour velvet grips?

I wish they made those irons in a satin finish. Overall, they look great!

Very odd to change grips like that especially since it not to something allegedly more cutting edge. Only thing I could think of is he hit a set of the Taylormade blades with the Tour Velvets and thought he had better feel and feedback.

There is nothing cutting edge in a grip. Except maybe in putter grips. Club grips have been the same for the laat 20 years no matter what the grip companies try to tell you
