^^^ Not much water on your courses huh? I play to a 14 and my stashes deplete more swiftly than I would like. But its all water here. Ball hawking requires scuba gear.

I love this thread!  Makes me feel normal! ;)

I'm up to about 16 dozen, give or take.  Z-Stars are my favorite, but I've also got U6's, B330's, and some Callaway's.

Ping G30 driver w/Adila Rogue Silver 60S
TEE XCG6 3 wood & E8 hybrids
Mizuno Hot Metal irons w/Recoil 95's
Glide 50/55/60 wedges
Ping Anser putter - the "real deal"!

Not much at all. I play 140 times a year and go through about 8-10 dozen. Every year I load up on deals that eventually get archived or given away to my HS team.

There was a guy in the old RZN thread who bought over 100 dozen. I'd say he gets the crown.

Yeah that guy is the king.  He even posted a pic and it was tremendous.  Makes my 37 dozen KSig's look like I'm down to my last dozen.

Last time I had only 100 dozen new golf balls on hand was around 10 years ago. I have donated 50 dozen brand new balls and it did not make a dent. I can't be bothered counting but it is over 200 for sure.

Truthfully hoarding sucks.

I have so many dozens of golf balls from as far back as the year 2000. What a waste of money.

Share a pic!  ;)

Below are photos from 2011. Those balls have all been moved into storage bins. My active stash has about 125 dozen of more recent balls. Maybe at some point will take photo of current balls which includes:

Maxfli U/6 Tour 12 dz
Maxfli U/6 Tour X 9 dz
Maxfli U/6 Tour Soft 4 dz
Maxfli Ufli Soft 5 dz
Maxfli Ufli Speed 1 dz
Maxfli Speedfli 3dz
K-Sig 15 dz
Snell MTB 9 dz
Volvik S3 4 dz
Bridgestone Tour B330S 7 dz
Srixon Z-Star (2017, 2015, 2013) 6 dz
Srixon Z-Star XV 2 dz
ProV1 6dz
Prov1X 6dz
Chrome Soft X 1 dz
Chrome Soft 3 dz
Wilson FG Tour X 3 dz
About 25 or 30 dz more of various balls (such as Nike Rzn Plats, Srixon Q-Star, Q-Star Tour, TM Tp and TPX, etc.)

You have to be the ball hoarder winner? Just curious, why do you need so many balls?

How do you decide which ball you are gonna play when you leave the house for a round?  For that matter, how do you decide on which iron set you gonna play too!  LOL

I have about 21 dozen total now as just today I caved in and bought three more dozen of a ball I never tried but seems to have alot of hype/followers!  :)  I have three sets of irons but don't really care for one of them as they don't seem to work for me!

My inventory is as follows and I usually play the yellow ones as I like them better but do mix it up!

yellow ones!
4 dozen B330RX
5 dozen Chrome Soft
4 dozen Srixon Soft Feel
1 dozen Srixon XV

white ones!
2 dozen Wilson FG Tours
2 dozen Wilson Duo's
3 dozen Nike RBN Plat's (bought today)

Great question Mike. My regular buddies always ask what irons I am using that day. Usually switch between Wilson FG Tour v6, V4, Mizuno JPX 800 Pro, MP-54 or Macgregor VIP cavities from around 2010. I often play my best with JPX 800 Pro but love the look of the Wilsons and VIPs.

As for balls, I usually play a different one each round. For tournaments, I use Snell MTB. It is a FANTASTIC ball for those who have not tried it.

You guys are therapy for me. I thought I was over the top with my collection, but I'm not even close to some of you. I realize I have top notch premium balls by the dozens I will never play. Such a waste by me. My problem is when a new ball is introduced and the Wrxer's start raving about it, I have to give them a go. At least a dozen.

At least for me, it comes from the irrational fear of losing/running out of golf balls.  I carry way too many balls in my bag, but knowing I have that many available helps put the mind more at ease.

I'm the same way, i carry probably close to two dozen, and i typically lose about 2-4 balls a round maybe?

I have the same fear, I also tend to pack my 'good' balls and then some sleeves of balls i just dont care about.  That way if i'm having one of those terrible days, I'll just play the s*** balls without a care of losing them.  If i'm slciing and hooking everything and losing s*** left and right, the last thing I wanna do is pull a new urethane ball out of my bag on every hole.

Hate to sound sensible but if your game is likely to feature golf of the standard described, you shouldn't even own urethane balls, just s*** ones.....

But...how many balls do you guys lose per round on average. I'm just sitting here thinking how long some of these stocks would take to burn through.

I think I have around 300 balls right now. 100 of those are ChromeSofts, while the rest are shag balls. I'm still buying balls though whether I see a good deal, or want to try something new.

On most days if I lose two balls during a round, that is alot but there are some days that I may go thru 3-5 of them depending on how bad I am hitting and how tough the course layout is!  :)

I have about 12 dozen total but just today I caved in and bought three more dozen of a ball I never tried but seems to have alot of hype/followers!  :)  I have three sets of irons but don't really care for one of them as they don't seem to work for me!

Nice to have choices!  I have the Steelhead XR's  and a set of Lynx Predators!  I like the Lynx irons but could use a little more forgiveness and I don't like the Steelhead XR's which I listed them awhile ago and hopefully sometime someone will buy them so I can get me another set of irons.  :)

This thread makes me feel better about the 22doz Tour Rzn platinums I hoarded.

Anyone do anything special for long term storage? 22doz will last me a couple years so thinking to vac pack some

Some of you guys make me feel real good about myself. If I dug through my entire house I'm not sure I could find 4 dozen usable balls.
I have a excellent short game. It's unfortunate that it starts on the Tee.

Callaway Epic/ Stiff Hzrdus
Taylormade RBZ 19 Hybrid
Ping G400 4-UW
Odyssey O Works 3T
Ping Glide 54, 58
Snell MTB Ball

There was a guy in the old RZN thread who bought over 100 dozen. I'd say he gets the crown.

Am not too far behind that as well: have about 80 dozen of those RZN TP's (all acquired at $20 per dozen or less), and another 10+ dozen RZN White & Bridgestone E6's for cool weather. Somehow also acquired about 10 dozen TM Lethals that I occasionally use on unfamiliar courses - don't want to lose any RZN's now!

Also have several thousand rounds of ammo on hand just in case.

Wow fun thread!  I sometimes think I have a problem but not compared to some others here.

    Currently in my stash -

  2-1/2 DZ TaylorMade TP 2016
  8 DZ RZN Tour Platinum
  5 DZ Maxfli U/6
  3 DZ - 2017 XV (current favorite)
6 DZ - Chrome Soft Truvis Geen Edition (dicks coupons got them for $30 a dozen, more novelty than anything else)
  1/2 DZ Snell MTB
  Couple sleeves of 2015 ProV1 and ProV1x

Now that I look at this list - it will take me about 2 years to burn them all  - assuming I dont buy anymore (YEAH RIGHT!)
TM M1 - Rouge 60 Stiff
Callaway XR - 4 wood - Rouge w/ RIP tip 60
Callaway BB V-Series 5 wood - Rouge Silver Stiff
Mizuno JPX850 Forger 4-GW - XP115 S300
Titleist 55 F grind / 60 M grind
EVNROLL ER5
Nike RZN Tour Platinum / Snell MTB / Srixon XV / TM TP

Hate to sound sensible but if your game is likely to feature golf of the standard described, you shouldn't even own urethane balls, just s*** ones.....

good thing you hate to sound sensible cuz you dont

Picked up 7 dozen taylormade penta urethanes for 17 a dozen...wanna name me a ball I 'should' buy according to your 'sensible' standards that would be better than a 17 dollar urethane ball?

O and PS I'm right around your handicap....my description described a 'terrible' day, one when im really off or just how drinking having fun on the course.  Yesterday we had a work outing, mainly just having fun, drinking, etc.  By time the back 9 came I put the urethanes away
