Bad reputations are hard to shake.  I get grief for playing "rock flights" quite a bit.  Playing partners even look at me sideways when I switch over.  Give the Gamer and Gamer Soft a shot, both are very nice balls.
Topflite D2+ Distance is not a hard golfball. In fact it has a nice soft feel to it. Reputations are hard to shake, but in the case of top-flight I think the term Rock flight is a thing of the past for most of their stock.

Any weather hot enough or cold enough to damage a golf ball would kill me. They all go farther when it's hot and shorter when it's cold. If there were a ball I could use for more distance in the cold I'd be using it on hot days too, believe me.

If the RZN Plats come back for 7.99 at Dunhams I could contend. I missed out on the last round, someone had bought them ALL the day before I found out and trucked on over there. By the time they got them back in they were back at 14.99. I hesitate to say how many I would take if they had sufficient stock but I will point out that I have significant savings account money and 6 credit cards that each have a minimum of 25k credit lines. Not that I'd do something that crazy but I'd guess their stock would run out far shy of me wanting to stop. Failing that a crew cab truck with an empty bed would be a safe start as to how many I'd take at that price. I'd guess it's capacity would be limited due to them being in bags, but I'm thinking 500 dozen would be a safe capacity bet even given the bags. I can only hope that I have a chance to find out.

Wow, would you really buy that many?  LOL

I don't have that many but I do have six dozen that you can have!  :)

If I can find them for 7.99 a dozen, I'll buy either however many my truck will hold (I'd guess 500 dozen) or however many the store has (my guess would be less than 500 dozen). Buying good tour level balls for Nitro prices? I can get behind that. In a big way. Thanks for the offer but I do have a minor stash of 10 dozen or so from their 14.99 price. Still a fantastic price but hardly an "all in" price. At 8 bucks a dozen? I'll take me some, lol.

I know it sounds kind of crazy, and maybe it is. But for an investment of 4K for 500 dozen balls, I'd be set for life and my kids would have tour balls for most of their life too. How many rounds have you played where the night before you go and pit down 40-50 bucks for a dozen? Even if someone does this only 10 times a year, that's ten dozen for 400-500 bucks. I'd never have to buy balls again. Sure I'll swing for a sleeve of the latest and greatest to try them but I don't see these ever being the ballata balls of yesteryear that were toast once the V1's came out. Personally in years past, most rounds I played I'd buy a sleeve for 12-15 bucks every round. Sure I had balls in the bag, but I always liked starting a round with three identical matching tour balls. At 5 rounds a week (75.00) 30 weeks a season, I was paying over 2k in balls for the year. For 4K I'm set forever. I'll take that. 2020 and beyond I'm turning a 2k profit every year. Let's just hope Dunhams gets these back for 8 bucks. My plan relies on this! Lol.

Lol! You got the wife picture down letter perfect. She'd  have no objection to me buying 1/6th of the balls at 75.00 a week. But showing up with a pickup load full of balls? There'd be some ''splainin to do. Math would have very little to do with it either. But... but.... wouldn't matter.

IMG_1057.JPG This is just a sample, I currently have over 10,000. I have one hole in Arizona that no one else is brave enough to go down into. This hole collects about 50-100 balls per day, and I pretty much get them all, every few months. It is quite dangerous, though. Only way down is some semi-technical rock climbing or trudging down steep hills through some insanely thick brush with lots of sharp thorns and poison ivy. Not to mention rattlesnakes, copperheads and coral snakes; I've seen them all in quantities. Then you have to get back up the cliff or up the overly overgrown and steep hill with 100+ lbs of balls. And of course it is trespassing, wo you have to stay out of view of golfers, because there's always some grump who will call the marshall on you, who then calls the guys in the black Suburbans to take your balls away from you. I'm not exaggerating. Not to mention snake boots/gloves and durable clothes to protect from branches and thorns in 100+ degree temperatures. Then get home and clean, sort, get a lecture from the wife about a 40-something year old husband and father putting himself in danger... Yes, I'm a true nut.

The upside is that it is a high-end course and out of every thousand, about 500 are pro v's, another 250 are premiums, and the remaining 250 range from cheapos to nice, low- to mid-level balls. I had a guy who is a bigtime golf ball dealer offer me $3,000 cash to tell him where it is, but I prefer the adventure and reward of it all to myself!

I love it. You've earned yourself a like sir. Now don't get yourself snakebit. I don't know much about AZ but I wasn't aware there are Coral Snakes there. Learn something every day. I also learned that I can not putt today. I could have putt all of those and not made a single one. Not this morning anyways.

Actually the corals I have only seen in Texas now that I think of it. I just read an article by Justin Thomas who said that when he is putting poorly, he shortens his routine and his stroke, and makes sure he is aligned properly and remaining still. Maybe try some of that!

I just sold 10 dozen Nike RZN Platinims to knock my collection down to 18-20 dozen. Also have around 4-5 dozen brand new ProV1/1x just siting around.

I wish all my ammo fit in my safe but it doesn't.  My dad is a golf ball hawk so we have rubber made tubs full of golf balls.  When ever I run low on one I try a different pro ball

How I accumulate them:

Step 1: buy a dozen ProV1. But donít play them, I know Iíll worry about using them since theyíre expensive. Save them for special rounds on courses Iíll never get invited to play. Repeat this step when a new version comes out, establish golferís hope chest.

Step 2: buy 4 dozen Chrome Softs on sale. Tell myself I wonít worry about losing them, I already have several dozen.

Step 3: start round with Chrome Soft. Less, but still slightly, concerned about losing it.

Step 4: hook one into the weeds, find four other balls looking for it. Feel a little bad losing a nice new ball like that.

Step 5: finish round with scuffed NXT Tour I found, donít come close to losing it.

Step 6: repeat steps 3-5 every round.

Step 7: repeat step 2 when a sale happens. Tell myself I already have several dozen Chome Soft, I wonít worry about losing them.

Voila, stash.

This is me down to the letter and I also see the lack of logic you've laid out perfectly, but I have no plans of stopping (particularly with black Friday approaching). There's something about a dozen unopened balls that is too beautiful to touch. I also buy mid range 4A quality balls from lostgolfballs and 5A premium balls in the buckets when they go on sale. Based on how much I play and how often I lose balls, I would have to play every weekend for 3 years to use my current stash. That's assuming I don't buy or find any balls on the course. Who cares though. It's a relatively cheap habit and I can give some to my playing partners

I thought I kicked the habit but I just counted 21 dozen on my shelf.

4 dozen Zstar, 4 dozen Prov1x, 4 dozen Ksig, 2 dozen Chrome soft x, 3 dozen B330S, 2 dozen U6, 1 dozen SR5, 1 dozen TPX.

I need to settle on a single ball. The worst part is trying to guess which ball will be the best one for the conditions of the day [as if I would know that] lol.

How I accumulate them:

Step 1: buy a dozen ProV1. But don't play them, I know I'll worry about using them since they're expensive. Save them for special rounds on courses I'll never get invited to play. Repeat this step when a new version comes out, establish golfer's hope chest.

Step 2: buy 4 dozen Chrome Softs on sale. Tell myself I won't worry about losing them, I already have several dozen.

Step 3: start round with Chrome Soft. Less, but still slightly, concerned about losing it.

Step 4: hook one into the weeds, find four other balls looking for it. Feel a little bad losing a nice new ball like that.

Step 5: finish round with scuffed NXT Tour I found, don't come close to losing it.

Step 6: repeat steps 3-5 every round.

Step 7: repeat step 2 when a sale happens. Tell myself I already have several dozen Chome Soft, I won't worry about losing them.

Voila, stash.

Yes. I just bought 5 dozen Chrome Softs from Dick's, which I fully intend to play, but today I played my cold and empty home course after a 144-player best-ball outing over the weekend, and it was like an easter egg hunt, balls friggin everywhere. Played by myself and had one of my best rounds ever using a found Vice which I'd never played before so I was curious.
