Seen a lot of posts where people are buying 20+ dozen balls at once, KSig hoarding, etc.  I'm finding myself fighting the urge to buy more balls...when I already have 5 dozen new and a half a bucket of practice/water balls.  I'm just such a sucker for a good deal!  Dick's sales need to stop!!

So I'm curious who's the top ball hoarder on WRX?  How many do you have stockpiled?  Would love to see some pics!

I don't see myself playing much golf if SHTF. While the free market open, I'll take my chances on some golf balls available to me. You're right though, you can never have enough ammo.

I can't help but think of the scene in Zombieland when Bill Murray comes home from playing Riviera

On the ball hoarding note, people are afraid they are going to miss out. I found myself buying a few boxes of Nike Rzn's, even though i had previously chosen the Z-star over it. Who knows!

I suppose I could be considered a hoarder, except I do not purchase golf balls, I find them at my home course. I have given most away to a good cause, but I do have 49 dozen ProV1x's, 14 dozen ProV1's, and 12 dozen other premium golf balls.

At least for me, it comes from the irrational fear of losing/running out of golf balls.  I carry way too many balls in my bag, but knowing I have that many available helps put the mind more at ease.

There was a guy in the old RZN thread who bought over 100 dozen. I'd say he gets the crown.

I have maybe 3 dozen but don't really look for a deal.  Yes, I always look when I'm out and did get a dozen on the XV promo sleeves.  I could have bought more but w/o trying it decide to let others have some.  I usually wait 'til the "new" version comes out and buy what I need in bulk.  For the first time in a long time I was given some trial packs for chrome x and love it...but not enough to go pay full price.  If I find a deal on them I'm pulling the trigger.

ME ME!! And exactly the same culprit as you...DICKS!!

Although I have really liked them the past few rounds, I have 7 dozen Taylormade Pentas that I bought for around 17 a dozen.

I also have 3 sleeves of Q-star Tours ($24 on sale), A box of E6's left (bought before the season, again on sale I think 2 for $35 maybe?), and some Srixon Trispeed tours left (maybe a box left, again bought last year i believe the deal was an incredible 3 for $40 or $45?).

If my wife sees another dozen balls in the garage I will be on the news as a homicide victim haha

I'm the same way, i carry probably close to two dozen, and i typically lose about 2-4 balls a round maybe?

I have the same fear, I also tend to pack my 'good' balls and then some sleeves of balls i just dont care about.  That way if i'm having one of those terrible days, I'll just play the s*** balls without a care of losing them.  If i'm slciing and hooking everything and losing s*** left and right, the last thing I wanna do is pull a new urethane ball out of my bag on every hole.

I did this one time. After the 2009 Pro V1x was released, I scoured the local stores and eBay for deals on the 2007 version because I initially HATED the 2009. Ended up with 12 dozen, which I hoped was enough to get me through the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Of course, midway through 2010 I was in a rough stretch and decided to shake things up by trying the 2009 version again. Started playing well with the 2009 and was left with 5 doz of the 2007 lying around, never to be played again.

Last time I ever made that mistake.

Last time I had only 100 dozen new golf balls on hand was around 10 years ago. I have donated 50 dozen brand new balls and it did not make a dent. I can't be bothered counting but it is over 200 for sure.

Truthfully hoarding sucks.

I have so many dozens of golf balls from as far back as the year 2000. What a waste of money.

I'm sitting on about 80 dzn urethane balls. About 15 dzn z stars, 9 dzn XV's, 15 dzn tp-x, 8 dzn tp's, 18 dzn b-330, 6 dzn b330-s, 6 dzn Nike plats and 5 dzn b330-rx. I honestly won't use these up for a LONG LONG time, however I can't pass up a good deal. I didn't pay more than 20 for any of them.

Oh well, they make good Christmas gifts! Lol

Oh my golly......this is pure hilarious! !!! I really thought I was on my way to opening my own golf range with 10 dozen ball.....I am not even close !!!

Out of my 10 dozens, 3 of these were gifts (Titleist Pro V1X). 5 of them are 2015 Bridgestone B-330s I purchased from that auction site late last year (originally bought 6). The other 2 are the new Callaway Chrome soft X.

Bridgestone purchase.....prior to this I was losing an average of 4 golf balls a round. So at that rate, I figured....the 6 dozens will be long gone by now. Then, this year......I stopped the practice of losing balls (thanks for the new Titleist 915F driver).

Am I a hoarder ?

One of my wife's friends is sustainable person (hippie).  Once we were at her house and she was talking about her green houses and said something along the lines of if the end of society came and food supply chains were broken they could live for at least a year on their supplies.  Then she asked me (with an air of elitism) what we would do since we didn't a setup like hers.  I responded, "well I have at least 6,000 rounds of ammo at home...."

There was a guy in the old RZN thread who bought over 100 dozen. I'd say he gets the crown.

Yeah that guy is the king.  He even posted a pic and it was tremendous.  Makes my 37 dozen KSig's look like I'm down to my last dozen.

Share a pic!  ;)

Below are photos from 2011. Those balls have all been moved into storage bins. My active stash has about 125 dozen of more recent balls. Maybe at some point will take photo of current balls which includes:

Maxfli U/6 Tour 12 dz
Maxfli U/6 Tour X 9 dz
Maxfli U/6 Tour Soft 4 dz
Maxfli Ufli Soft 5 dz
Maxfli Ufli Speed 1 dz
Maxfli Speedfli 3dz
K-Sig 15 dz
Snell MTB 9 dz
Volvik S3 4 dz
Bridgestone Tour B330S 7 dz
Srixon Z-Star (2017, 2015, 2013) 6 dz
Srixon Z-Star XV 2 dz
ProV1 6dz
Prov1X 6dz
Chrome Soft X 1 dz
Chrome Soft 3 dz
Wilson FG Tour X 3 dz
About 25 or 30 dz more of various balls (such as Nike Rzn Plats, Srixon Q-Star, Q-Star Tour, TM Tp and TPX, etc.)
