Byron's new Bombora, the B-17, is now available!  Looks like another putter will be added to my stable!

What changed about it? Are they all "rockpile" heads with the cavity?

After a long wait on this, I'm kind of disappointed. Same head but with the "Rockpile" cavity milled out, and a $200 price increase.

It's not the same,  It's wider, has a rounded top line and a pocket that is milled into the face.  The Rock-Pile pocket was only ever milled through the flange.  It also comes with a banging headcover!  :)

I think it might be the cheapest option ever to get a GSS from Byron at sub 1000.

I think it represents great value in the GSS option - agree 100% :-)

Is it accurate to say there are 2 shapes to the b17? The putter on the top left looks more square than the putter below it.

Pretty sure they all come as a blank that Byron can shape to either hand and multiple head shapes. I'm pretty pumped this one is "wider"

Definitely intrigued by the wider body. Curious to know exactly how wide they can be ordered

Yeah I like the sounds of that. Probably not as wide as the DaKine but still.

I was hoping for copper!

I jumped in on this too.  I love the different head shape options.  I think we're going to see some awesome putters created from these heads!

Eddie, do you happen to know how wide the DH89 is for comparison?

Really don't like this design. The cavity kills the flow. Why would they drop the bombora line completely. The b17 Gould Ave been option instead of a replacement. Now I'm on the lookout for a bombora. If anyone knows where to grab one, let me know.

I was at the shop on Friday and saw a few of the B-17s in the works (and a couple finished).

Really nice stuff... and I like the head shape a lot.  My order is placed.

Cosigned....

The problem with buying customs second hand is that there's 99.9% of the time something wrong with it (as someone else built it to their specs).  I've been looking for close to a year now and nothing.  Oh well...
