I've only played for 7 years started at 36 and have maybe logged 200 rounds of golf in that time.

I have one Eagle and maybe 60 birdies.
I shoot 80 to 88 and can break 80 a couple times a year.  I'm just curious how many of you have a slew of eagles and an estimate of years / rounds played.

I get a chip chance maybe 1 time a round and a putt chance every 6 or 7 rounds.

Can't drive past 260 at present but can hit off the deck 230 240.  I know that's where I need to gain yards to start scoring them.  Thanks in advance

Oh the handicap was lower two years ago.  Shot steady 78 to 82.  Havens updated the signature in a while.  7.8 at present

I'd have a few eagles a month but I have many chances. It feels awesome to have -2 on one hole but I'll settle for a tap in birdie any day. I do wish I had my old distance so there are more chances to get on in 2 but I wouldn't trade my old distance with my short game skills.

I've probably played more than 2,000 rounds of golf in my life over more than 20 years and I've only made 3 eagles. Of those 3, only 2 were the result of legitimately good shots (holed out a 8 iron and a PW, respectively), the 3rd was a skulled mid-iron shot that got lucky and rolled in. The most recent was the skulled iron in 2011.

I've been playing for around 20 yrs. I only have 2 eagles, my 1st one was a hole out on par 5 from about 30 yds. My 2nd one was a 5ft putt on par 5 as well. The crazy thing was that I got both eagles within a month from each.

Been playing for 5 years (seriously anyways) and have 5 eagles. All but one have been dunks from 150-100 yards out. Just finally got my first putt in this year and man did it feel great watching one drop.

Just based on the sheer number of rounds over the past 40+ years, I've had quite a few even though my handicap is high compared to most on the site.  They've come through...hole's in 1, holing a second shot on a par 4, driving a par 4 and making the putt, holing a wedge on a par 5, making an eagle putt on a par 5, etc.  The best was jarring a 56 degree wedge from 110 yards out.  That was literally a perfect shot...probably the only one ever.

I don't have incredible distance, but not a short hitter either. I probably get one or two a year, in terms of a par 5 in two, and sinking the putt. Most of the courses I play don't have par 5's that are conducive to that kinda play, and if I do hit a par 5 in two, it's tough to be close enough to make a reasonable putt.

Maybe one par 4 eagle (driving the green) at a couple different courses every to every other year.

I also have had one or two hole out eagles on par 4's each year, for the last couple of years.

First eagle, an ace, came at about ten years (110-125 rounds per year). Second eagle came nearly ten years later.

Then I got wise and moved up to the 5,600 yard tees as befits my 200-ish average tee shot. In the five years since I have holed out for eagle twice on a Par 4 plus had my first ever eagle by getting on in two and 1-putting a Par 5..:that was sweet!

[EDIT] I like way of doing a Pearsonified's tally by year.

2005 1 (Par 3)
2012 1 (Par 5)
2015 2 (Par 4)
2016 1 (Par 5)
2017 1 (Par 4)

Total of 6 in nearly 25 years of playing golf 100+ rounds per year.

I'd say about 1 every 4 or 5 rounds. However most of par 5's on the course I play regularly are reachable with mid-short irons so par 5 on the card technically.

Yeah I have quite a few eagles in the four years I've been playing but the courses I play the most have reachable par fours and a few short par fives. My most recent eagle was a funny one though, blocked drive to the right, topped a hybrid I was trying to slice 50 yards around some trees, holed my 8 iron from 165.

When I'd been playing golf maybe six months, if that, I was playing a short Par 5 on the dinky course where I learned to play. Great tee shot (by my standards), really good second shot and had 115 yards left to the hole.

I topped an 8-iron so badly it was almost a whiff. Bounced straight up in the air then trickled forward 20 feet or so. Hit the 8-iron again from about 110 and holed it out.

I figured hey, that was pretty easy. Guess I'll be doing something like that for eagle a few times a year as soon as I get to where I can break 100.

Not so much, as it turns out.

I have just 2 in 20 years of golf and one hole in one.

Most amazing thing was as we were teeing off on the hole I got my last eagle just weeks ago, I said to my partner "the only way to beat these guys is with an eagle", based on the fact that we were getting beaten badly...we would make par and opposing team with birdie.

Then on that same hole that I "talked" about making an eagle and I actually made one...the mind is a very powerful thing.

Fwiw. I have one. 6 years ago.  I skulled a 160 yard pitch that never reached 10 feet in height.   I was going to attack from above with a baby fade a foot past the hole to the high left side of the green to account for the backup slight right of about 3 feet.  At the last moment I decided I would take the wind out of play it was 1 maybe 2mph.  The end result was my stock 150 yard skull that hit the flag and fell in.  If I didn't hit that bit of hardpan 140 out on the 20th bounce I would have dropped in for eagle on the last rotation of roll.  I'll have to work on that ...

My lone 1-putt eagle was playing alongside my long-hitting friend who, fortunately for me, tees off a couple sets of tees behind me when we play (we do that in lieu of me getting strokes because he's also much better than me).

Anyway, this one day he hits his usual monster tee shot about there about 290 yards. Miracle of miracles I managed to hit my best drive of the day and from my tees it ended up outdriving him by 30 yards. Second shot he hits a 5-iron from 200 and I hit my 5-iron from 170. We're both on the green and actually putting on the same line. Him from about 20 feet and me from half that distance.

His putt looked good and then broke across the cup at the very end. I adjusted my read a little and poured it in.

I was so excited about winning the hole (I almost never can win a Par 5 hole against him) that I didn't even realize it was an eagle. As we're walking off the green he said, "At least I made you beat me with an eagle". Once that sunk it I did a little happy dance!

Been playing about 40 years. Zero eagles (or aces). I've had three or four eagle putts on par-5s and didn't come close to making them. I've lipped out a couple of par-4 approach shots and a couple of par-3 tee shots. But most years I've played fewer than 10 18-hole rounds.

Iv been playing for 2 years and have had 12 eagles. I played college baseball and am only 25 so I have the distance that makes it a little easier. All but one of my eagles have been on par 5s. I have yet to hit a hole in one.

I've played four years and have four that i can remember off the top of my head. Two of them were on par fives, two of them on par fours. One of the par fours was a blind short-sided chip that one hopped and plunked in.

edit, 5. three on par 4s

Have a bunch both par 5's and hole outs on par 4's over my 30 years of playing. None very recently but distance wise off the tee I am still playing at 6600-7000 yards which for my driver length does not give me a lot of great looks to get home in two on 530-550+ yard par 5's. Courses are still very playable at that length but at that length even if I do reach a par 5 in two still probably going to have to get a little lucky to make a bomb of a putt. Last good look was earlier this year 569 yard par 5 little bit of a dog leg so does not play that long hit a good drive and perfect 3 wood from 254 that rolled out to 12 feet passed the pin and just missed the putt.

Been playing close to 20 years.. I've had 1 eagle early, when I was young and had some power..
I've given up trying to make it on the green in 2 on par 5s...

I have played for maybe 30 years around 30-40 rounds a year.  If you include eagles made in scrambles (my shot for the entire hole) I have around 10 or 11 sprinkled between driving par 4s (forward tees for sure), hole outs on par 5s, and hit in 2 on par 5.  A few would be considered legitimate eagles on WRX, but most came playing forward tees where the par designation would be considered questionable (215 yard par 4, 415 yard par 5, 420 yard par 5, etc...).  I have two so far this year (Driver, 3W to 6 feet on 480 yard par 5 and Driver, 3h over water to 25 feet on 415 yard par 5).

Since 2010:

16 eagles in ~ 8550 holes
641 birds (about 7.5%)

I do not hit it long.  230 average.  11 of those 16 eagles were on one hole, which is a 480 yard par 5 starting hole at my old home club.  I don't believe I have another 3 which I made putting.

The others are hole outs on par 4s and an ace.  I hole out almost once a year.

30 years of golf, and I can think of three...

Hole in one, holed a 70 yard approach shot on a par 4 and made a 15 footer on a Par 5 (#7) at Chateau Whistler on my honeymoon.

When I was a beginner I asked my teaching pro how many aces he had made. He said, "I dunno, maybe 15 or 20? Only two of them in tournaments when it matters".
Everything has its drawbacks, as the man said when his mother-in-law died, and they came down upon him for the funeral expenses.

I've made about 20 eagles in 18 years of playing. I made 12-14 during high school when I played everyday and on shorter easier courses. Then in college maybe a couple more. After that I had a stretch of maybe 5 years without one as I struggled mightily with my game. Then I got things back on track and have made 1-2 per year over the last 3 years. Just last weekend I got a skin in a tournament with a nice eagle.
