October. The title says it all. Blue color remains. Driver only has neck adjustability. Fairway wood has a rail from front to back. Has a cool dark line between face and top of fairway wood that makes it look like there is more loft to add confidence. Upgraded shafts. Tensei white, blue and orange. $399 driver, $249 fairway wood. Also, a limited driver coming the beginning of next year.

Looks similar to the JPX 900 from the top but the bottom is not adjustable like the 900.

Edit: I believe it was called the ST? Although I am not 100% sure.

Seems that the shafts are not the pros.

Not sure why they bother with woods.  Focus on what they do best - irons.

Have you hit the JPX-900 driver on the course? It's as good as anything for a lot of people.

I second the point on their driver's I haven't hit the 900 but I played the 850 for a while and it made a couple returns to the bag. They deserve a lot of credit for woods.

They have always made some good woods if their woods said Taylormade or callaway they would probably sell millions of them with some of the cool things technology wise they have done...

Under construction....

Wish they would simply release the MP lines of woods/hybrids in Japan into the US market. All I need.

In terms of distance,  Mizuno woods are right up there,  they have not been short at all for 6 or 7 years.  I think the biggest issue with the woods, until recently with JPX 850/900 and Mp Craft,  is forgiveness, and a greater loss of distance when struck off sweet spot.

Very well said.  We all know the irons are good.
But the Driver Fairway and Hybrids are excellent.

Two of our clubs best drivers hit Mizuno. One has a 630, the other a 650.....They make awesome irons and wedges but for some reason their latest drivers just gather dust. Too complicated and the bright blue is bling rather than classy. Plus their staff players always use another makers woods after brief flirtations with Mizuno woods. I agree they should bring their Japan market woods and irons out in the UK and USA. They look much cleaner and classier than the bling blue heads.

The mp 650 line is probably the best driver and 3 wood I've ever played! I have a 2016 M2 tour issue driver that I've hit side by side with my Mp 650 and there is no real difference except the mp feels better and has a better ball flight. Mizuno woods are the most underrated in the business!

Seems to be all or nothing with responses here. Either people love them or wonder why they make woods.
I think there are a few main problems. They aren't as readily available as other manufacturers (I don't have store that sells them within 60 miles).  No big name pros play them.  And that blue scares a lot people away

I don't think its all or nothing there have been plenty who said it is a solid driver but not their favorite.  The 900 line got rave reviews from most that tested it, and the shaft lineup is pretty solid as well.  Like any thread, you have the fanboys who rave, those who play it and like it a lot, those who have tried it, and then the trolling comments.  As far as availability, I think you also have to take into account that Mizuno is no Tayormade in terms of marketing/stocking in the woods, so they aren't going to be as readily available as any callaway or taylormade model and they know this.  Its almost more along the lines of a JDM model kind of in terms of stock.

I love the entire line, but can understand it not working for everybody.  However I don't think anybody who has actually hit any of them, can simply say….meh they should stick to irons.  The quality and performance of the clubs from those who actually have tried them is apparent.

Love the blue theme for their golf division...just don't shove it down my throat with the driver.  Make it in black or Titleist gray...then I shall take a look.

edit:  I know it is a small thing....they have Faldo saying great things about it in a commercial...then dude goes out and plays a TMade.

Well said, especially the part about not being Taylormade in the marketing department. I've been gaming Titleist woods for a while now (Mizuno irons for almost as long as I've been playing) but am in the market for new hybrids. I will make the hour drive to test the new CLK's. Maybe will I'm out there I will give the Mizuno driver a shot. I could always be persuaded with the right performance.

The 900 hybrid is very very very good.  I like the driver a lot for me, and the fws are also solid, but to me besides the irons the hybrids were stars of the line.  If you have an interest and a need in that part of the bag, you would be doing yourself a favor at least checking it out.  Im keeping an eye out for a 2 hybrid.  The new CLKs look great too.

Don't personally like the look of the 900 woods but the 650 series perform as good as anything ever made. Hoping for some kind of mp wood , I like the mp type 1/2 but I've never tried one or seen one in person

Not sure why their woods don't have more street cred.  I've played their woods off and on for 25 years...I swiched to epic diver and three wood this year but played a slider driver and mp 3 wood the last several years...that 3 wood is just outstanding...I'm not sure I like the epic 3 wood better yet...we'll see.

Have you hit the JPX-900 driver on the course? It's as good as anything for a lot of people.

I should have been clear.  I think their woods are very good, and have played them in the past.

It's just that they get virtually no traction either on tour or in the market.  Rather see them focus their resources on keeping their world class irons going.

October. The title says it all. Blue color remains. Driver only has neck adjustability. Fairway wood has a rail from front to back. Has a cool dark line between face and top of fairway wood that makes it look like there is more loft to add confidence. Upgraded shafts. Real Tensei white, blue and orange. $399 driver, $249 fairway wood. Also, a limited driver coming the beginning of next year.

Looks similar to the JPX 900 from the top but the bottom is not adjustable like the 900.

Edit: I believe it was called the ST? Although I am not 100% sure.

Sounds good other than the blue colour scheme, which looks awful. Given their new CLK Hybrids are a deep grey, I'm hoping they have adopted this colour scheme for the fairways and driver as well.

Only gripe with the JPX 900 was the sound. SO loud relative to the other recent offerings. I don't mind a little bit of a sound (doesn't need to be totally muted) but that thing sounded like a rocket ship. Just wasn't into it.

However, the fact they offer legit shaft upgrades like EVO and now Tensei OJ, is a huge selling point. Let's hope for those of us that did not like the 900's acoustics will be pleasantly surprised this year.

Looking forward to the new releases for sure!  I love the current JPX line up a lot.  Top 3 driver, consistent fairway head, real deal premium shafts (no upcharge), and the JPX900 hybrids are really nice.  Love the satin blue, but would love to have more M1-M2 like distance put of the fairway sometimes...other than that I am very happy with my purchases.

When you guys are mentioning a true premium shaft upgrade do you like the manufacturers over the others or just that they aren't 'made for'?
