I was looking for threads on this iron and very little has been said or reviewed about these......I also see very few sets for resale......i hit these off a mat outdoors and the trackman gave me some very impressive numbers.......I found these irons to be very hot but only from the sweet spot.....the middle of these irons are very hot and go like crazy but slightly outside the middle is very avg compared to the other distance irons out there.  They are not soft but when you pure one the sweet spot is very distinctive and its a either you like it or you don't.......Im surprised that there is so little buzz about these irons but so much buzz regarding the PXGs when they first were introduced.

* Currently gaming the Mizuno 900 Forged, but will definitely pick up a set of Epics

So they are short from the sweet spot, and outside of the middle they are very average and are not soft feeling. I think you answered the lack of buzz.

But ... you will definitely pick up a set?

I'm gaming Epic Pros and love them. About a club longer and they feel nice, can be worked and are forgiving. They look great too

I looked at them but settled on a set of XRs and a new car instead.

Our Pro has sold 4 sets of Epics in the last fortnight. He is stunned how much interest the irons have generated. Great numbers and consistency.

Sorry that was a typo........i didn't reread what i had typed.......i meant to say the exact middle was very very long but outside of middle was about average when compared with distance irons such as Callaway Apex and Mizuno 900.  Forged.  In summary it has a hotter sweet spot, similar forgiveness and a noticeable click at impact......Im not saying that I'm gonna game these for sure but they were impressive enough for me to buy a set for testing.

Demo'd both the Pro and non pro. I'd game either but likely more suited to the non pro. That stated, I don't see them as being any better than other oem gear. As a result, I see no sense in paying more and getting the same.

I'm not against those that want them or the PXG. If you want them, game them.

I was able to demo a set (non pro), last week and think Callaway is crazy or hoping there are enough crazy consumers willing to pay the money for these. There is absolutely nothing special about these irons, looks, performance, feel, distance, you name it not happening.
