Anyone play these balls? Amazon had them for 29.99. I tend to go with previous year balls because Amazon tends to have one of the brands for relatively cheap. How do they compare to 2015 and current TPx?

I putted them on a putting green and they seem to feel similar to the 2015 Tpx, slightly softer than ProV1x.

I bought a bunch from my club earlier in the year when they discounted them to make room for the TP5, for $30 you can't beat it.

I can't imagine it being much different than the TP5X. At the prices they can be had they're probably a steal. RBG and Jet.com are the cheapest I've found them.

IMO, the 2016 TPX  is more like the TP5 and the 2014 TPX is like the TP5X. I like them both for different reasons, but so far I'm play the '16's and the TP5 .

I found TP5X to be so far superior to the previous generations that I don't even feel the desire to stock up on cheaper old stock...

That being said, I still have a couple more dozen 2014 TPXs to go through before I dive into my TP5X collection...

Best ball in 2016 imo. I loved them but can't find them anymore. The 2017 Z Stars and chrome soft x are better imo and my current gamers, but for that price I say get as many as you can.

Tried them today in the course. Worth every penny. Perfect complement to my new Epic SZ driver. The balls go long. At least, the distances are pretty similar to the ProV1x..... I did hit them both at the same time on one hole. Additionally, they feel great off the putter slightly softer than the ProV1x. They are excellent around the greens. All in all, not disappointed with these. Will be buying more.

Ended up shooting 9 hole 38 with an eagle in one of the par 5's.Should have been better have it not for a double bogey I had one hole.

Best ball on the market to me, and Ive tried them all in that category. More consistent spin than the ProV1/x and feel is perfect. The new TP5/x is longer on irons but spins less around greens, I really like them but they fly higher(cut thru wind tho) and needs some adjustments. These are just plug n play

Best ball out there IMO. For me it does everything exceptionally. The distance on all clubs is there, the trajectory is perfect, the amount of iron and greenside spin is just where I want it, and the feel off the putter is absolutely perfect. I think the TP5x is great as well and would have no problem playing it, but theres just something about the TPx being better that I cant quite put my finger on. I think it might spin less off the driver. Can somebody PLEASE point me in the direction of a good deal? They seem to be pretty tough to find.

Now the 2016 Regular Tour Preferred is even cheaper at 22.99. TPx is still 29.99. It is tempting to go TP instead.

Great deal on a very good golf ball in my testing after playing the Tour Preferred X all last year the TP5X flies a lot higher spins a little less and is about 1-3 more yards carry on the irons. I switched to the TP5x but would have no problems playing the tour preferred at all

I absolutely love the 2016 Tour Preferred. It actually knocked the ProV1 out of my bag that I had been playing for the last 6 years (The only other ball that came close to doing that was Srixon). I have about 10 dozen on hand, but I'm thinking about picking up another 5 or so, its hard to beat $23 a dozen

Both TP and TPX balls are excellent. I've switched between both and have settled on the TP. It feels slightly softer and flies slightly higher than TPX. Both are too close to call in performance. I haven't played the 2017 versions but won't need to for a while as I have stocked up on the 2016.

I've stocked up on the 2016 TP as well. Bought a bunch of those RBG 3 dozen boxes....still have 3 1/2 of those left...and then just ordered another 3 dozen off Amazon...It'll take me years to go through that many dozen...I don't even know why I ordered 3 more...other than the fact that I really like the ball. lol

No joke, hit some of my longest drives in years with this ball, could just be coincidence or perfect conditions, but it's long.  I have a few left over I just kind of hold onto while I play other stuff....  Only ball I feel is close is the new ProV1.  I really like that ball, too... just hate the price.

Rock Bottom has the best deal going 2 for 50 and free shipping at 125.

I think you gotta be crazy to think the new TPx is better than the 2016....to me zero comparison other than Rory said it's better.

For me the 2016 is longer, spins more with the wedges, & fells better with a higher ball flight off my irons.

I still alternate between the 2016 TPx & the 2014 B330s....the 2 best balls I've played ever.
