Cheers for the feedback. I've so far found graphite shafted irons just feel so light to me that I lose all the tempo in my swing. Is there a way to counter this?

There are certainly heavier graphite. 120-125 gram graphite shafts are common on the PGA and web tours. Those options are certainly available.

Sorry to hear of your issue...

If I were looking for "soft", I'd start with jpx 850 forged heads (not due to mizuno forged "softness", but due to being forgiving all over the face with a decently thin top line and not too much offset), recoil shafts, inserts, golfpride cp2 grips (largest size I could accomodate to put as much rubber between shaft and hands), and softest ball (Wilson Duo?).

If you dont mind top line thickness or offset, would consider at callaways with cup face. Although no experience with them, the I view the construction to be more like a hybrid, which could dampen things a bit.

Best of luck in your search!
