The numbers of irons I've owned or tested in the 6 years i've been playing far exceed the irons I've "played". I'm only counting the sets I've played for more than 3 months.

It's funny I was just thinking about this the other day. I'm not going to include any of my backup or project sets, as these have never seen any consistent time in my bag before being sold/traded/etc.
  • Spalding Celebrity half set (1W/3W/3/5/7/9) - my first set of clubs, a yard sale purchase by my dad.
  • Golf Trends irons (my mother's clubs) - These fit better for me than the yard sale ones.
  • Spalding Tour XL - My first full set of clubs.
  • Maxfli Revolution - My first "players" irons. Stayed in my bag for ~7 years.
  • Cleveland CG2 - Short-lived stay in my bag, gone within 2 years.
  • Callaway X-20 Tours - Solid performer and presence in my bag for 5 years
  • PING G25 - Current gamers, going on 4 years
A mixed bag throughout the years, only the CG2's were less than satisfactory, (given my age/ability at the time of use of all these listed).
Adams Speedline 9064LS -- w/ Aldila RIP Gamma 60 Stiff
PING G20 15* -- w/ Oban Devotion 6 Stiff
TaylorMade M1 Rescue - 21* (Fuji Pro 80h Stiff)
PING G25- 4-PW- Blk dot (CFS X)
PING Gorge Tour wedges (52/56/60)
PING Zing 2 - w/ standard Ping wrap

Can anyone tell me why on the back of the king cobra 3100i/h irons, some of the letterings are painted black and on other irons painted gold, would this be different year models even though they look the same?

Don't know why, but last night I just started to recall all the sets of irons i played over the years and I was very surprised at the numbers. just a very rough estimation on just name brands alone, it was at 80+ and then I could throw in at least another 15 to 20 of self built clones. Just wondering, how many other wrx's are in the same boat? Now not collectors, but actually played and sold and played and sold again and so on.......... At least now, upon reflection, I understand why the wife thinks I have a problem, although she's glad it's not something worse......... :pimp:
45 sets most forged CBs and within last 20 years. Current 545s are only set used for two years.

Started back in 1990 or so I had a Wilson kid's set.

Somewhere around 1996 or so I got a full bag of HiPPO clubs.

When I got back into golf in 2010 I bought G5s.
Then i20s.
Then MP-32s.
I flirted (one round) with 681MBs and sold 'em.
Still playing the MP-32s, and I still own the i20s.

Edited by Xir, 12 October 2017 - 09:32 PM.
