If I understand correctly, the higher up the graph the more forgiving the iron vs it's blade size in mm.

MMC looks quite a bit more forgiving than AP2/Apex Pro but the head would be more compact

It's interesting that the three MP18s are all in a straight line, a linear relationship between head length and "forgiveness".  I'd expect the MMC to have be higher up the x-axis with all it's "technology".  That said, I don't entirely understand what they're basing their equation for sweet area on.  What I do like is how these irons compare to the AP2 and MP15, which I found to be plenty "forgiving".

That's what I get from the graph too.  Idk though, if that's true it looks like the JPX 900 tour is one awesome club.

I agree, wouldn't think the 900's were the most forgiving!  The chart tells me I need to stick with my z565's!  I want a set, but I feel like I need the mmc as opposed to the sc!  Of course no lefty in the mmc!

and the main chart was taken from another site.  I just added the JPX 900 tour to the new chart.  You can see the numbers along the axis's all match up.
Thanks Ive hit JPX 900 Tour, Apex Pro, and S55s. Would say the JPX is the least forgiving of the 3

Mizuno MP irons aren't rated as very forgiving on Malby's site because they are a bit too heel biased. Ditto the JPX 900 tour. The MOI typically isn't that high either.

https://www.golfwork...-ratings/a/870/

I believe that the titleist 716 cbs are rated higher by Malby than any MP iron.

Like everyone else, I find the graph marketing BS. I wish it was a bit more realistic.. I was really sold on mp18

Regardless, I'm getting one to try on day1 !!!

It seems to me, just from photos, that the SC has a deeper cavity and more perimeter weighting than the 900 Tours in a similar head size. That should technically make it more "forgiving".
Also, I like that the head size is smaller than the MP 5s. I preordered the 5's on the marketing  hype that they were the "MP32 on steroids" (they weren't even in the same league as the best iron EVER). The 5s just seemed really big and almost clunky when I got them. Sold them after 2 rounds.

That means that the MP 5 should be right where the MP 64 is, correct?
