Anyone hit these irons share to comment?

I'm looking to get a set in the "players cavity" type of category, and I've narrowed it down to these first two, with a sneaky potential pick in the i200.

I'm going to be speccing whatever set with KBS Tour X or PX 6.5 shafts, not sure if that helps at all.

Price is of no concern - I'm looking specifically for thoughts around looks, feel, playability, durability, comparisons, etc. etc.

Thanks!

Biased vote for the Srixon. But I would get fit for the shafts and try the Nippon line. But upcharge with Srixon (yes I read cost didn't matter) and a better shaft imo.

I tried the Nippon shafts and personally didn't like the way the feel at impact. But I do see now that Srixon has a significant amount of shaft upgrades for free.

I'm currently playing combo 565/765 with Modus 120X, but am moving to the i200 with Recoils in a couple of days due to elbow pain.  I love the look and playability of the Srixon's, I might have kept them if they offered the Recoil shafts that I wanted as a custom option. I demoed the i200 a fair amount before I ordered them, to me they did play quite similar to the 765, at least in the 7 iron I hit over and over. We will see how they play throughout the set.  Never been a Ping man, first set I have owned in 45 years of golf, but the current line up of Pings are the best looking ever IMO.

Haven't hit the TM, but they look very good at address to me.  To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three.  But if durability is a high concern, the Srixon's are very soft and will ding easily.  I assume the i200s would win hands down in this category.

TM P750 are my favourite of the three. Love the look and the feel and I love how they feel through the turf. I would game them in a second.

I think TM 770 would be more comparable to Z765 and i200. Tried all 3 of these in a recent fitting and found it was almost like splitting hairs. Liked all 3 but thought Z765 and TM 770 had better feel (I know, cast vs forged), and I was biased having played Ping irons for over 12 year . I did not hit TM 750 as several guys I know in your handicap category told me that while they liked the 750s they thought they were not very forgiving and preferred 770s. I ended up getting a great deal on a barely used set of z745 and couldn't be happier. Good luck!

@FirePro I suppose I shouldn't have mentioned durability, as I know Ping's would win outright given their cast vs. forged.

@robs291 I was looking at the 770's as well in debating whether or not to put those in as my long irons with the 750's. I believe you're right in that the 770's are designed to be more comparable to irons like the Z765, i200, AP2, etc.

It's a tough choice, and I know I probably can't go wrong with whichever I pick.

If I weren't a cheapskate and I didn't like my Mizunos, I'd probably have 765s in my bag.

I've not hit the TMs, but I've hit the i200s and I couldn't tell a big difference between them and my 850F.  I wasn't on an LM, though, so I didn't have numbers with which to compare.

Those were my top three in an iron fitting at Club Champion. I could have easily gone either way. For me, i200's lacked (very slightly) in feel and Z765's were tighter in dispersion than the P770's. The Srixon's have been fantastic. Every round I play I am reminded I made the correct choice.

Just went and hit all 3 at a Golf Galaxy. They didn't have the P750's, but did have the P770's which I liked the size of. I hear the P750's are smaller and more comparable to traditional blades, so I'm happy I was able to test the 770's.

There were different shafts in each of them, but all reasonable ones. The surprise winner here was the i200 in terms of consistency and dispersion. I mean those clubs just went dead straight with a ~3y draw every single time. I couldn't get on with the Srixon's at all, which is disappointing because I was rooting for those.

I liked the 770's a lot as well. They had a more "dense thud" feel at impact. I wish I could've tested them with the PX 6.0's I had in the Pings, because I think the KBS shafts had something to do with them as well.

Either way, I'm surprised to say I think I'm actually between the Ping i200's and the TM 770's now. I think (for me) the Z765's are out of the picture...

Price is of no concern - I'm looking specifically for thoughts around looks, feel, playability, durability, comparisons, etc. etc.

Thanks!
Had Srixon 765's, now playing i200's.  For me the 765's only beat out the i200's in one area.  That is in overall feel.  I would rate the Srixon 765's A+ for feel while the i200's are only an A.  Everything else is either a wash or goes to the i200's.  YMMV

See I found I hated the feel of the 765... which is odd because I've hit the 965 and they are buttery pure. I think it might have been the shaft setup, but the 765 felt very hard. The i200 with the PX 6.0 shaft felt very soft and very crisp. Maybe that's the iron feeling I personally enjoy. I've hit many "soft" forgings and found them to feel mushy and dense. I thoroughly enjoyed the crispness of the i200, so maybe that's actually my preferred feeling.

I have the Z565 in 3, Z765 in 4-6 and Z965 in 7-Pw. They all feel pure, the Z565 is a bit more colicky because of the different face, but all in all, great heads. Hey have tight dispersions, great distance and best of all the turf interaction.

I haven't hit the TM but tested the other two.

I ended up with the z765 and adore them.

I've played various ping irons for the last 15 years, but I just didn't like the i200 at all, which I still don't quite understand.

The z765 were a little longer, had a better flight, but most importantly were more forgiving and had better dispersion.

I've never been worried by feel. Having had a lot of ping irons I'd say that they always felt nice, just as the srixons do - they just feel different.

I didn't expect to buy a set of z765, but 7 months in, I'm very glad that I did!

As ever, try them all yourself and work out what's best for you and your characteristics.

I've got the 765 and the 750 irons with the same shaft. I love the feel and performance of the 765 but prefer the thinner top line and smaller blade size of the 750. The 750 are perhaps a little easier to flight down but also a bit less forgiving. Even though they are easier to flight down, I do find that I lose more distance into the wind on a well struck shot - they certainly spin more than the 765 based on how quickly they pull up on the greens, which I like. That could also be a swing issue of course. They go a little shorter than the 765 but have more loft, so that's to be expected.

I could happily use either but I'm sticking with the 750 for the time being - I just love the look of them at address and prefer the shape of the face. I'm impressed with everything TM are bringing out at the moment.

I have both the 750's and i200's.  Currently gaming the i200's as I am getting virtually no practice time.  I really do like both, and I will make the eye rolling golfwrx comment that I am never getting rid of the 750's.  I truly love the look, feel and performance of those irons.

I have both the 750's and i200's.  Currently gaming the i200's as I am getting virtually no practice time.  I really do like both, and I will make the eye rolling golfwrx comment that I am never getting rid of the 750's.  I truly love the look, feel and performance of those irons.

Yeah, I went ahead and ordered the i200. I didn't hit the 750, but the 770's were a close second. There was just no beating the consistency I was having with the i200. Even working the ball significantly left and right was laser accurate with the i200. Maybe it's the iron that gets along with me swing, but I was really surprised at how automatic they feel.

Right now, I'm at the point where I play once a week, twice if I'm lucky, and I hop right out of the car and head to the first tee. I still am able to shoot under par most times, but I don't know why I'm making the game harder than it has to be. If Lee Westwood can make millions of dollars playing i200, I think I can get along with them as well :)

IMO, 750 arent in the same class.  770's would be.

770's or Srixon IMO are the choices here.  I hit the PIngs, I havent liked recent offerings from them, the feel has been off for a few years!
