I buy lots of golf clothing from budget golf but my last order that contained 17 items was 2 short.  I called and they are crediting my charge card but
it kinda freaks me out.  I get it that mistakes happen but the time I have to take to call and get it resolved is time I can't get back and the follow up to
be sure they refund my card just irritates me.  

   That all said there are good deals to be had ...............just be sure to check your entire order.

The last 3 orders of mine (also large quantities) have had items missing. In fact, in their packaging slip, it was clear based on markings/notes of the packager that there was a few items missing or a 0 inventory. Still I had to call in to either get the items refunded or shipped.

Their deals are good enough and they've been very good about resolving the matter, so I've (for now) brushed it off as just part of doing business.

They have fantastic deals but the fact that they charge credit cards for items that don't ship is not good business.  I had two items missing out of 17 .  I have placed around 10 orders in the past 3 years so I guess mistakes happen.  Apparently the warehouse and Billing - Sales department aren't in sync.

I will second this. I buy 50-75% of my annual golf outing prizes from BG and have found that they have shorted me items. Considering I order 15-20 pieces at a time I did a spot check of the big ticket purchases, but found that 2 of the items were missing. I didn't realize this until 2 months after the purchase so I didn't call to request a refund, but lesson learned on doing a full audit of your order.

Their deals are really solid though so I'm not going to stop using them. I'm sure if I would have called they would have refunded, but if this is a reoccurring issue with others hopefully they will be proactive and put a process in place to address this.

My most recent order was all there, but it was only 5 items.  I've had large orders in the past that I've checked and everything was there too.  Still, I'll check more diligently in the future based on others' experience here.

I used to pass on them because the website was so bad I couldn't stand to be on it for more than a minute or two at a time.  It seems that they have improved it though.  NICE!

The website has definitely improved and the deals are solid, especially their close-outs.  Months back I grabbed JPX Wedges for $30 each, didn't get along with them, and was able to trade them at Global for $1 more than I paid for them.  This week I grabbed a Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0 56* 2-Dot and 60* Wide-Sole for $50/each... an excellent deal considering they were $130-$140 when released and usually ~$70-90 at most other outlets.  Looks like I can't trade my way out of these and profit, but I'm a bit more confident in them working out...

I also usually use clearance apparel or accessories for filler to get to free shipping... this week it was an Ashworth polo for $10, Greg Norman shorts for $10, and a collapsible ball retriever for $6 (so I can hide it away in my bag in not catch grief until I actually need to use it).

Problem I have had with them a couple times is buying something only the find out later they are already sold out
Dang that's disappointing when it happens
Both times it has happened, I've actually gotten order completion email.  One time I even got shipping confirmation before getting an email a couple days later saying sorry we're out.

Ordered several times and never an issue. One time I accidentally used an old address from my PayPal account and their customer service to help me resolve was outstanding. Highly recommended and one of my favorite online retailers.

Based on the feedback from others they clearly have an issue with shorting items on large orders.   I will bring this up to them if I don't see my credit card refunded this week for the two items they shorted me.

I ordered new wedges.  50, 54, and 58.  I got 50, 53, and 58.  I don't want to deal with the hastle of an exchange, so I'll bend the 53.  The packing slip was correct....

Just a potential warning for any fellow Canadians so you don't make the same mistake I did.

I ordered a Titleist 2 iron from Budget and had the same issue as everyone else. They said they had inventory and charged me but I never received the item.

However, since I lose on the exchange both ways, I didn't get back all the money I paid. As an example, if the iron was $100usd, after exchange that would mean I get charged $130cad. But after Budget refunds me $100usd, it ends up only being $120cad. Pay $10 for literally nothing =)

I don't understand how their physical inventory can't be matched up with their online store. Seems simple but I guess there's more to it...

They are local chicago...doing massive business because of the void left by Golfsmith...growing faster than they can handle.
Not making an excuse, but when you consider the deals they offer + the time saved by not having to drive to your nearest store (if you have one), you should not be complaining on a golf forum over a customer service mistake...if you were "scammed" that would be a different story.

I don't think giving others a heads-up to double check their orders for completeness and correctness is in any way going to far.  No one said "don't every order anything from Budget Golf again because they shorted me a pack of tees"... that might be overkill.  The OP's suggestion to check your orders is not.

The OP wasn't saying anything wrong or derogatory about the company and quite frankly it never hurts to be reminded every now and then to double check your order. I personally see nothing at all wrong with

I don't order a lot at one time and they do have good deals here and there but I stopped using them because it would take like 10 days for the order to arrive.... I know, I am impatient but I could buy here and get things faster.  Not saying I won't try them again, just don't like waiting!!  Haha!

All, I would like to chime in as a representative of BG. A couple factors to understand on these situations. First, our shipping policy is out the same day before 2 PM CT, or next day after 2 PM. On that note, if you have a larger quantity order with an item or 2 that are missing or out of stock, we will ship the available items within that time frame, rather than make you wait while we are investigating the out of stocks.

Now, as it pertains to those missing items. We have an inventory control team who gets the orders with the missing items at the end of the day and they investigate those within 24 hours. If the items are found, they are shipped. If not, the order goes to customer service who is then responsible for contacting the customer, giving refunds, etc. All of that simply cannot happen in a matter of hours, so I would say it can take 24-72 hours until your refund is given. Know that we are never trying to short change anyone, but sometimes Inventory says we have 146 of an item, and we actually have 145.

Finally, with regards to being charged the full amount for an incomplete order, that is an automated system that takes place at the time of your order. Our inventory system thinks all of those items are in stock, so the order is charged in full. It is not until after the shipping team discovers the item is missing that we can begin this process. Also, with the volume of orders, it is entirely possible that 2-3 people order the same item at once when it is the last one in inventory, which is a bummer, but very difficult to avoid.

I would also advise to be careful of items they mark as shipping from the manufacturer.  The disclaimer says to expect a 3-5 business day delay, but just about a month later I have yet to receive a pair of shorts I ordered and have paid for.  Contacting customer service has only given me the option to be refunded, leaving me out my shorts and in need of placing another order elsewhere.  Obviously at this point in NH, there isnt a lot of shorts weather remaining.  I had nothing but good experiences in the past, but they dont seem understanding that they have done a poor job communicating and I have been without my money or goods for almost a month.  The customer service leaves a lot to be desired in my opinon.

Crushsticks - Thanks for contributing to this thread and committing to making things right.  

I just recently (last week) placed an order through their ebay store to take advantage of ebay's 20% discount during the labor day holiday.  My order was for a total of 12 items and unfortunately again had 1 item missing, and 1 item was a completely different shirt than ordered.  I've already started the communications process through ebay and have been asked to email a photo of the wrong shirt which seems very odd to me.

I guess the rule of thumb with BG still stands - check your orders! :)

I received the wrong putter this morning, kind of bummed out.

Ordered a Cleveland Classics HB #10 with milled face (women's, 33 inch).

Received a Cleveland Classics 10i insert putter - brand new, correct length and everything but wrong model.

Not sure about the insert putter, bought the Classic because I really like milled face putters.

Waiting to hear back on if they actually have any of the #10 milled putters or if their ads are all wrong in picture/description and they actually only have the 10i insert putters to sell.

I've had great success until my recent order but it was my fault for not checking my primary address on Ebay. I had someone use my Ebay account to purchase stuff about a year ago and the address listed under my name was to Georgia. They're taking care of the issue even after the bag was returned to the store...hopefully I still get my 20% discount.

I've never had a problem with them sending all the items that I ordered. But I have had them send me the wrong size... Twice.

They refunded my money so I'm in the search for a bag or 2 depending on which way I go. I always use my Clicgear or ride when I play but it would be nice to have a stand bag for the range or a par 3 course.

Not sure about the insert putter, bought the Classic because I really like milled face putters.
Waiting to hear back on if they actually have any of the #10 milled putters or if their ads are all wrong in picture/description and they actually only have the 10i insert putters to sell.

Just an update - heard from Budget today that they unfortunately did not have the milled version in stock. Representative was apologetic and they offered a partial refund if I wanted to keep the putter, or a full refund including shipping if I preferred to shop elsewhere.

Customer service and CrushSticks were very helpful.
I'll definitely continue shopping with Budget Golf - they remedied the mistake to my satisfaction quickly and professionally.
