Hi guys,

I'd like to have a split between the WTB posts and the FS / FS-T threads in our B-S-T forum.
I mostly buy clubs browsing new threads and therefore I find the locked WTB threads disturbing - as there are A LOT of them...which is good :) , but they fill up a good amount of space. A split would also leave more '1st page time' for all selling -or buying members posts.....

What do You think :clapping: ?
cheers,

We have been talking about this but I have heard alot of feedback, back both positive and negative, about ideas like this. Some people think having everything in one section is easier while others think its more structured to break things out. What does everyone think? I'll move this to general for now for more exposure.

I've added one more question for just a putters section in the BST. Please take the time to vote. It only takes a second and it will determine what we do.

splitting wtb + fs posts is an excellent idea. seperate forums for drivers, irons, etcetc is overkill..

Splitting out the WTB is an excellent idea to clear out "clutter" in BST and make browsing friendlier.

Creating multiple sections hinders BST browsing for two reasons, imo:

1) It requires too many mouse clicks/page loads for those who want to see everything, and

2) Sellers may lose potential impulse buyers. Say, someone who isn't necessarily looking for a wedge and doesn't browse the "Wedges" section may actually find he is interested in a unique/tour model of his favorite wedge that he was unaware of.

Good poll.

Good question.

I think WTT is a For Sale/For Trade ad......someone has an item in their possession they want to sell/trade. Picture required.

WTB is a "looking for..." ad.....someone looking to acquire an item. No pictures. I think you put the WTB in a "sticky" link in the "Important Topics" section of Community Classifieds. One click away from "for sale" section.

My .02 cents.

I think we should split the whole BST into separate catagories. When you go in a golff shop everything is in it's place. If you want a putter...go to the putter rack. It should be the same here.

I'm going to disagree, I've only seen it separated in one place and I don't think it worked very well. As long as the thread titles are clear, it should be easier to navigate. I tend to pass over the ones that say nothing about the contents (then again I'm lefty so it probably don't apply anyway). I do, however like the lefty bst separate, but would end up seeing the stuff anyway as I tend to go through all the classifieds as well.

btw, I hate making a habit out of addressing your posts pb, but when was the last time you went into the golf store, looked only at the putter rack, then left? I'm guessing you do the whole store tour each and every time you walk in. Just a hunch.

I leave the place for three days to take a "few" pictures and you're at me. :cheesy: I guess I can't say anything since you hit the nail on the head. All I can do is

It looks like the results are pretty clear. I will do the changes this weekend, barring some rush of votes. Please make a choice if you haven't already.

I was think the same thing some time ago. I like the idea of splitting WTB and WTS but I think it should stop there. It can always be addressed again at a later date if things start to get to cluttered in that format.
