So Thursday March 20th I walked 18 holes with a buddy. It was 55 and breezy. Played well, but it was a bit wet. I went to bed hearing of some wet weather coming in Friday. I thought to myself "can't be that bad - it just warmed up!"
Woke up Friday morning to 10 inches of snow....and it wasn't done. I shoveled my driveway not once, not twice, but 3 times before all was said and done. We got like 2 feet it (might be a little exaggeration - not sure of the actual number).
It's Illinois/Chicago, what else can I say. I think it is the only place where you can play 18 holes one day and go sledding the next.
Why we still live here....still trying to figure that out.

i am with you !! i am taking my boys for haircuts and then to golf galaxy for a boys day. They know that is daddy's favorite store. I need a fix bad because this weather is ridiculous. I am south so we just got a dusting (Frankfort, Tinley area). I feel for you guys up north.
Drake loses and there is snow on the ground. I am thoroughly depressed!

Because during the summer, Chicago is the greatest city in the country.
But, I hear ya man. I was watching golf yesterday on a 72" TV next to the window. Golf in FL, and snow coming down like the dickens inches away from the TV.
I closed the blinds so I didn't have to see the snow.

I live 2 hours south of Chicago and all we got was rain. It was nice yesterday also. Low 60's. Was going to go out but had a bunch of stuff around the house to do with my day off, but a buddy of mine did go out on Thrusday and yesterday and played. He said it was soft and wet but he said the temp was perfect.

It's good that you've got that weather, it always sets you up for dissapointment for watching the cubs every year! BTW, for you other Chicago guys, I was in Hawaii two weeks ago, and 4 days after Kyle Orton signs his new contract he was laying on the beach drinking Mai Tai's all day...he's SO out of shape.....

I played Pheasant Run on the 14th. It was good to get out and knock off some of the rust. Fairways were a mess, but the greens were in decent shape.
My family told me the other day that it was 85 degrees and sunny in Arizona. At first I was upset...but then I remembered that probably means it will 115 degrees there in June. No thank you....
