All I want is for them to release just ONE putter with some variation of a black finish. Tired of being blinded when putting around midday, and will not spend $300 dollars to send my putter in.

He did this a while back and people were complaining about the black finish and a lot (myself included) sent them to the custom shop to get the finish taken off. Now I regret that and wish I still had the black finish.

Only thing I am hoping for is a fastback without the cross alignment aid. I love the headshape of the current fastback but hate the alignment aid.

Oddly enough, I play the M1 mallet, and have grown to hate the cross alignment as well. I feel like if it was close to the face it would help out more, but in its current place it just seems I have to almost take my eyes off the ball to get my alignment (if that makes sense).

Which brings me to customization. I would pay to go through something similar to the Toulon design garage that they set up. I understand that for the vast majority of golfers, one look may be the easiest to sell in a golf shop. However, with how long they are taking to complete customs jobs (4-5 months), why haven't they just created a website that allows you to design the scotty you want? Seems like the demand is more than there for these high value putters.

Cameron 2016 newport putter , yes I had one but I didn't like the feel . Now that may have been due to the midsize grip ? I'm not really a insert guy ! But I also like to hear what you think of a standard traditional grip size verses a 1.0 or 2.0 pistol super stroke ? Anyway I think Cameron may do a dark color since I seen a lot on his tour photos . He's a business and he is going to go full circle ! And someday we may see a oil can carbon or a studio stainless , or a pro platinum again ⛳️

They definitely need to get rid of the pop-up alignment. Regular sight line, no sight line, something different, whatever.

I haven't seen a single tour player using the pop-up alignment.

As well as an M1 shape with just a single sight line! Keep it simple!

I'd like a square back without the pop up alignment. Thought it was a good idea but now it just sits with my other putters because I can't stand looking at it.

As someone who plays shorter putters, I love the weights. But, I've definitely had enough of inserts and the "jewelry" look of many of his putters. Let's go back to simplistic and attractive.
This above.

I have a few Scottys, but calling a mallet the Newport 3 just screws up the tradition even more. I too can live without the cheap inserts, the silly stamps and the bling.

Please please please bring back the mid slant. I would love a newport 2 with a midslant neck. I have an older model, but would love the option on a newer model, with the deep milled.

Update: There will be a Left Handed Newport 2.  This will be the only Left Handed new Cameron coming out. He does not know how to create anything else for Left handed golfers.
This is why i play a Scotty from 2003. Im 22 years old too. I havent been impressed with the lefty offerings. Ive wanted a left handed notchback or plumbers squareback for years

I own a 2016 NP2, and was hoping they would make a GSS insert available... Figured it would be a great putter to experiment with inserts and they could still make some money on "customization" with very little work.   Oh well....

Hope they do start making black putters an option again, I loved that line... Just sent a Del Mar to Continental to get this treatment.  I like the suggestion of a long neck, too... that would be awesome.

This.

Bought a head cover from the Ryder Cup last year and it is magnetic. While it feels like a sin to put a Scotty in a holster made by someone other than Scotty, I just love the magnetic close. Can't be beat. Velcro wears out too easy. Can't believe he hasn't switched already. No brainer IMO.

I have the option to purchase a 2014 Fastback for pretty cheap (250 new). Would you all recommend this or wait for 2018s and pay the 380+?

This could be good news if they become part of the Select line...like an M5 of sorts. Not likely I assume though. It'll be interesting to see if it happens.

Not that it would happen, but I think a revamped Napa style coming to retail would be pretty cool.  Ping did it with the Sigma G Tess this year.  But I deff agree with the majority here, just a nice solid head with some light milling and subtle stamping.

Both the M5 on P5 have been floating around a ton lately.  I've seen a few here on WRX in tour event photos as well as other online sellers (including The Gallery).  Both the M5 and P5 are new 2017 protos.

I'll be sending mine into labworx here shortly. The glare off this thing can be an issue.

What I would love is a Tei3 Newport. Preferably a newly made one without all the cherry bombs and what-have-you all over it. I could get this putter off of eBay, sure, but I would just once like to buy a putter new and keep it forever. I have my Studio Select Newport and my Anser Milled 0 and I suppose those will have to hold me over until I get a Tei3 finally, but rereleasing that finish and insert would be great.

Not a big fan of how the select putters added the insert. Kind of hope they bring the old 1 piece putter back for the select line.
