I'm curious what urethane cover balls people have had the best performance with in windy conditions. I get similar performance from prov1, z star, chrome soft and TP but am curious if there may be other options that are better in the wind or if people have found one of these 4 to be really good.

Thanks

I've been enjoyed the TP5 of late, but they are all good balls on your list. For "me", when I stripe a ball the wind really doesn't affect it. When I'm playing in windy conditions, I think "smooth" as opposed to murder.

Can't go wrong with the pro v but I will say the chrome soft is right there especially for the money.

I've found that the two best balls to play in the wind are the Snell MTB and the Srixon XV.

In all the balls I've played, and watched others play, there is nothing like the Callaway HX balls for wind performance.  They have always cut thru wind like it wasn't there (mild hyperbole).

My second place is the TM balls, and their Maxfli predecessors.  Until the HX stuff showed up, nothing beat Maxfli.

Srixons are also pretty good, been playing the ZStarXV lately, liking what I'm seeing in the wind...

Easy question to answer.  The ball the fits YOU the best.  I have played in the wind more than most folks.  My best advice is to forget about changing balls and instead go with the rules of playing wind.  The best thing you can do is hit the ball solidly.  Balls hit in the center of the face handle wind the best.  Also, you can "club up" a bit and choke down on the handle.  This helps remove backspin, lowers trajectory a bit, and stops most of the ballooning issues.

I liked it too, a lot. The new ball checks a little less into the greens on shorter shots, but spins less off the driver and long irons. Irons are legitimately 8+ yards longer for many players. If you generate a lot of spin on your wedges and short irons you may love it.

Been playing the TP5 for a while and been switching off the Bridgestone that I've been playing since the beginning of last year.  I'm still blown away by how little the wind affects the TP5.

Played 18 today and have been playing the B330 last few rounds but got the TP5 out today. Every single time I set up to account for the wind, the ball moved less than I accounted for. Sometimes by a lot. It actually hurt my score today.

Awesome. Sounds like it's exactly what i'm looking for in a golf ball.
Pro V1/x spun way too much specially on wedge shots and haven't play them in ages because of it. Currently playing RZN Tour Platinums but it's going to be hard to stock once i run out

This surprises me.  I found it terrible in the wind.

Love the srixon XV and the TM Lethal is actually a great wind ball.  Still $2 everyday on the TM website. The lethal being good in the wind isn't a big surprise. Very similar dimples to the new tp5 which is good in the wind.

Tp5x or B330 tour.

Everyone seem to love tp5x quite a bit. I loved the old TPX (2015?) balls quite a bit. How do they compare?

I find them very similar, especially in the wind.

I would pick one ball and stick with it, consistency and familiarity or more important than trying to optimize a ball for playing conditions.  I seriously doubt if the pros ever switch balls except when the new stuff comes out over the winter.
