There are so many different threads related to each ball so I wanted to know what many of you guys/gals have settled on.  After all of my ball reviews, I'm convinced that my go-to ball is the Vice Pro Soft, with my backup ball being the Z Star.  What about you folks?

If only I could vote for two options: Bridgestone B330 and Other (Maxfli U4x).  I purchased about 15 dozen Maxfli U4x golf balls when Maxfli/Dicks was blowing them out at <$20/Dozen in 2013.  I still have about 4 dz left.  Then I recently purchased 9 dozen Bridgestone B330-RXs golf balls during Bridgestone's last promotion.  I'm set on balls for the next few seasons to come :-)
I love golf

I agree that Maxfli is probably the best bang for anyone's buck when it comes to a urethane ball.  When you get them on BOGO and happen to have one of the $10 off coupons that Dick's gives out regularly, you can come out thinking you stole those balls.  LOL!

I've settled on a few, but mainly the TP5. I prefer the X distance wise, and have lost a bit of distance with the regular TP5, but have enjoyed the extra control. The TP5's curvature is manageable, but I do like the X for hitting it straighter, and more boring.

Runner up has been the Chromesoft X. I really do love this ball. I think it spins a little more than the TP5, but control is just as good, or better, on approach shots. The difference that I don't care for though is the curvature not being as subtle with it.

I did break down over the weekend game an RM5 Prototype Nike ball (Rory's ball made for the masters last year) that I've had a sleeve of for a year or so. I really, really loved that ball. It's spin off the tee was much closer to the RZN black, but it's iron and wedge spin was much closer to the RZN Platinum. This ball is NOTHING like the regular RZN Platinum, which was a ball I always had mixed feelings about.

Golf balls are a tough choice for me though. Where I reside in MN, I have courses built on hard pan, sand, and black dirt, and the greens follow suit. Some courses have hard greens, and some very soft, and my ball choice is often based on my chipping. My most accurate chip shot bounces once, then checks when it lands and releases a few 4-5' from there. I rely on it too heavily, possibly, so my choice of golf ball will often be decided on what ball will react closest to that on a green. If it spins too much, it just stops within a foot or two of where it lands. If it doesn't spin enough, it releases more than I'd like, and when I'm hitting that shot, I'm generally trying to save a par, and that shot matters as much, or more than any other shot I have.

Not sure if you trust mail order golf balls, but you should try the Vice Pro.  Based on what you said you like, I think that ball would work well for you.

I tried them two seasons ago but should try them again now.. At that point, I was looking to bring flight down a lot, and spin was a killer for me, but the way they were on the greens was nice, IIRC, so they may fit me better all the way around. At the time I tried them, the RZN Black was my choice of ball in terms of performance, which I do akin to hitting a pool ball in terms of feel, lol so I'm happy to be hitting golf balls that feel decent for once! ha.

The big winner for me.... Callaway Chrome Soft X. I love the distance, height off irons, I can easily spin the ball with the wedge. Love that clicky feel off the putter. Last but not least, love the White/Red Truvis colors. I really have not seen anyone play with this color.

Bridgestone B-330s......when it gets windy.....this ball just goes straight.....no left or right turn.

Lastly, this ball is a tad cheaper than the other balls I considered.... Titleist Pro V1x and TM TP5x. This translates to less time I spend looking for a ball too.

Cut golf blue ball is what I'm sticking with for the season with B330RXS as the backup ball. Yesterday during my 9 hole round I actually spun the Cut blue ball back with my 52* wedge. I've never done that before so it's definitely my go to!

I've played some form of Titleist for 25 years, from tour balata's to professionals to prov1x.

I just made the switch to TP5X and love it.  Best ball I've ever played.

This is a loaded question.  I'd say the majority of this site isn't locked in to just one ball.  I have about 4 dozen of the Kirkland Signature balls left but I'm starting to grow tired of the ball.  Honestly, I've been so thrilled with the ball and its results lately that I'll probably stick to the Titleist DT Trusoft in yellow for some time.  I'd like to still try the lime Vice Pro Soft but they have been out of stock for awhile.

I've been tempted to try some Vice Tour so I ordered a dozen to see how I feel about them

Srixon Q Star Tour - nice feeling 3-piece ball with a Urethane cover - feels nice off all of the clubs. Decent distance

Right now leaning towards tp5, but haven't tried the x yet & really want to try them.
Still have a box of b330rx, tempted for more with the buy 2 get 1 free.
Still have 3 doz k-sigs, and 1 doz proV1 I got for Christmas, and 2 or 3 chromesoft sleeves.
Does this make me a ball ho?

Srixon Z-Star XV are the best for me on every shot.  Highly underrated ball for the better player and cover spins plenty but durable.  Cost for us in Aussie is about half of Pro V1......so there's also that!
